What about the players who quietly go about their business, making their team a success, and never receive the attention they quite possibly deserve?

Michael Carrick

We'll start with perhaps the most unsung hero of them all—Michael Carrick.

He's been absolutely brilliant this season, bringing solidity to Manchester United's midfield that has looked ropey without him at times.

Much to the irritation of many Manchester United fans, most still claim that Carrick is the weak leak in Sir Alex Ferguson's team despite his much-improved displays this season.

Danny Graham is the third Swansea player to make this list. Are they really all unsung heroes?

About 50 percent of English Premier League fans can't even name 11 Swansea players, just about mustering the names Michel Vorm and Scott Sinclair from somewhere.

Graham has bagged 12 goals in 24 starts this season across all competitions and looks like he's settled in well.

He's unselfish and helps his team and has a true strikers' instinct.
