Jalen Hurts has officially etched his name in Super Bowl history.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback earned the Super Bowl MVP honors for his electric performance in the Eagles 40-14 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
Hurts went 17-of-22 for 221 yards and two touchdowns with one interception while also adding 11 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Fans, including Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles, took to social media to praise Hurts' performance.
Hurts becomes the third consecutive quarterback to win the MVP award and it was the 33rd time a quarterback has won the award. He also set the Super Bowl record for most rushing yards by a quarterback.
The Eagles won their second Super Bowl in franchise history and their first since 2017. Philadelphia avenged a Super Bowl LVII loss to the Chiefs with the victory and finished the season with an overall record of 18-3.
