Kultida Woods, the mother of Tiger Woods, died on Tuesday.
Woods announced his mother's death with a statement on social media, saying "she was my biggest fan, greatest supporter" and "loved by so many" in her life.
Kultida played a major impact on Tiger's golfing career. One of her biggest contributions was the famous red shirts Tiger wore in the final round of a tournament.
Tiger has said one reason he went with red was out of superstition, but also because his mother called it his "power color."
"I wear red on Sundays because my mom thinks that is my power color," he said. "You know, you should always listen to your mom."
It was a strategy that paid off because Woods wearing red on Sundays was appointment viewing. He frequently made it count by winning 82 times on the PGA Tour, including 15 major championships.
Kultida would often take part in her son's Sunday ritual. She wore a red blouse and black slacks at Augusta National when Tiger won his most recent major title at the 2019 Masters.
Tiger was the only child of Kultida and Earl Woods. The couple married in 1969 and remained together until Earl's death at the age of 74 in May 2006.
