The Road to WrestleMania 41 officially kicks off Saturday night in Indianapolis with the 2025 Royal Rumble, and WWE rumors are spreading across the internet ahead of the annual event.
One such report includes the latest on a showdown between CM Punk and Roman Reigns that would instantly be one of the biggest, most star-powered one-on-one main events in recent memory.
Find out the latest on that contest, as well as the whereabouts of The Wyatt Sicks and which two Superstars may make their presence felt in Saturday's men's Rumble match, with this collection of insider reports.
Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk Still Planned for WrestleMania?
CM Punk stood face-to-face with Cody Rhodes in the closing moments of Monday's WWE Raw and teased a potential WrestleMania 41 showdown with The American Nightmare.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that the plan for the year's Show of Shows remains Punk vs. Roman Reigns.
"Anything could happen moving forward, but the most recent plan is for Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk at WrestleMania. I've not heard of anything changing in that regard yet," he wrote.
A Punk-Reigns main event would be an enormous one for WWE, featuring arguably the two most buzz-worthy competitors on the roster. That there are underlying real-life tensions and an established on-screen history between them only enhances the matchup.
Throw in the all-important "favor" Paul Heyman owes The Straight Edge Superstar, and you have plenty of juice behind a blockbuster showdown on wrestling's grandest stage.
Who wins the as-of-now hypothetical matchup is another question.
A Phenomenal Royal Rumble Appearance?
Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite reported WWE hopes to have AJ Styles available for the men's Royal Rumble match at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday.
The Phenomenal One last competed on the October 4 episode of SmackDown, when he suffered an injury mid-match against Carmelo Hayes.
Styles made his WWE debut at the 2016 Rumble, shocking the world and squaring off against Reigns, Chris Jericho and others in his first match with the company many believed he would never sign with.
But is it a worthwhile use of the two-time WWE champion to have him return in a 30-man match that is already brimming with major stars such as Reigns, Punk, John Cena and Seth Rollins or would he be better served returning on Raw or SmackDown?
Either way, having Styles back for WrestleMania season is a major addition and one WWE Creative should be excited about.
Where Are The Wyatt Sicks?
The Wyatt Sicks have been conspicuous by their absence from WWE television over the last two months, but Sapp has provided an update on the group.
Those we spoke to in the company claim that there's an injury-related reason preventing the Wyatts being on television," he wrote.
The insider added that Alexa Bliss' contractual situation, which saw creative plans for her return halted, "hasn't necessarily affected long-term plans for the faction."
The group recently made the jump from Raw to SmackDown, abruptly ending their rivalry with Karrion Kross and The Final Testament.
What the future holds for The Wyatt Sicks remains to be seen, but it's somewhat concerning that an act that was so intricately introduced, in a story that felt well-developed, has disappeared with no follow-up whatsoever.
Even if there is an injury at play, is it so bad that no one from the group could film vignettes to at least keep the stable in front of fans' eyes?
The Wyatt Sicks are a spectacle, so keeping them off of TV every week will at least help heighten their importance when they do finally pop back up, creating a positive to the situation.
Omos In Indianapolis for Men's Rumble?
Omos has not been seen on WWE TV since the 2024 Royal Rumble. Since then, he has appeared at a handful of the company's live events and recently competed a tour of Japan for Noah, where he won the GHC Tag Team Championship with Jack Morris.
However, Johnson reported Omos is being brought to Indianapolis for the men's Royal Rumble, and Sapp confirmed the story.
An immense Superstar who has shown significant improvement in his ring game from his early WWE days, it will be interesting to see if this is the start of renewed importance on television or simply a cameo appearance that will leave the question: What are Triple H and the creative team doing with the big man?
Regardless, Omos will always garner a reaction because of his size and, depending on how well he is booked if he enters the men's Rumble, should be able to contribute as the monster heel in one of the most stacked 30-man spectacles of all time.
