WWE legend Paul "Triple H" Levesque has enjoyed a second career as chief content officer, and now he will reportedly be honored for the impact he made in the ring.
The Game was surprised during a recent meeting by his wife, Stephanie McMahon, and fellow legends Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, who all informed him that he would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2025.
One of the greatest wrestlers of his generation, Triple H was a 14-time world champion in WWE, holding the WWE Championship nine times and the World Heavyweight Championship five times. He headlined countless pay-per-view events, most notably receiving the main event spot at WrestleMania seven times.
In addition to his individual success, Triple H was known for his involvement in factions like The Kliq, D-Generation X, Evolution and The Authority. He also helped open the door for younger talent both past and present such as Randy Orton, Batista, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens.
Unfortunately, Triple H never got the proper in-ring sendoff he deserved. When he wrestled Orton during an episode of WWE Raw in January 2021, he didn't know at the time that it would be the final match of his career. He suffered from heart failure that September and underwent surgery that required the implementation of an ICD in his chest, forcing him to retire from in-ring competition. He left his boots in the ring during WrestleMania 38 in April 2022, signifying the official end of his wrestling career.
Despite the unceremonious end to his in-ring career, the 55-year-old became one of the most important backstage figures in WWE. He founded NXT and served as the lead producer of the brand during its meteoric rise, helping to create a launching point for younger talent before they make it to the main roster.
He was promoted to chief content officer in September 2022 and has served as the head of creative after former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was ousted from the company in 2023.
Triple H will go down as one of the most important figures in wrestling history both for his success in the ring and for his endeavors outside of it.
He will now join an exclusive group as a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, having already been inducted alongside D-Generation X as part of the class of 2019.
