Top Royal Rumble 2025 Matches to Watch
Men's Royal Rumble
The 2025 men's Royal Rumble match is arguably among the most stacked in WWE history in terms of top-end talent,
Many of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time will be part of the bout, including John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and a host of others.
While a few competitors in the match stand out as the top contenders, there is no clear and obvious participant who stands out above the rest.
Cena likely has a strong chance since it will be his final Rumble and his final year as an active in-ring wrestler, but Punk has made the importance of winning the Rumble and headlining WrestleMania known as well.
Reigns, Rollins and Drew McIntyre are all multi-time world champions as well, plus there could be some unannounced surprises with a legitimate chance to prevail.
If the ver best Superstars the men's Rumble has to offer are still in it near the end, it could lead to the best finishing sequence ever seen in a Rumble match.
Women's Royal Rumble
While the women's Royal Rumble may not have quite as much star power as the men's the field that has been announced could still deliver one of the best women's Rumbles ever.
Charlotte Flair stands out as the favorite since WWE is running return vignettes after missed the past year due to injury, and because of her status as the most-decorated women in WWE history with 14 women's title reigns.
Other big names and former champs in the match include former Rumble winners Bayley and Bianca Belair, plus Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Naomi and Iyo Sky.
On top of that, a few notable performers seemingly have a great chance to be surprise entrants, such as one-time Rumble winner and multi-time women's champion Becky Lynch, as well as former TNA Knockouts champ Jordynne Grace.
There could even be some rising stars from NXT in the match like NXT women's champion Giulia and Roxanne Perez.
With so many Superstars having a realistic shot at the win, the 2025 women's Rumble could prove to be the most unpredictable one ever.
Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens
While the Royal Rumble matches are the headliners, the WWE Championship ladder match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens has a chance to steal the show as the best bout of the night.
Rhodes and Owens have been at odds for months at this point due to KO turning on Cody after the American Nightmare agreed to form a reluctant partnership with Reigns during the fall.
Although Rhodes had a successful title defense against Owens on an episode of Saturday Night's Main Event, KO got revenge by taking Cody out with a Package Piledriver afterward.
Owens also stole the Winged Eagle WWE Championship from Rhodes, meaning there will be two titles suspended from the ceiling at Royal Rumble.
Given how close Royal Rumble is to WrestleMania, it seems fairly unlikely that Rhodes will drop the title.
However, Cody has made his fair share of enemies during his world championship reign, so an Owens victory can't be ruled out completely.
