Another week of the TGL is in the books, and fans got the most exciting battle of the season so far.
Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club took down Rory McIlroy and Boston Common Golf 4-3 in a contest that came down to the final hole.
In triples, BCG got the first points of the night when it won Hole 3. Woods and company answered a few holes later on the sixth hole. The remainder of triples was scoreless, however, making it a 1-1 game heading into singles.
McIlroy and Woods squared off on Hole 10, with McIlroy winning the short-game battle. The two also met on the 13th hole, with Woods matching McIlroy's hammer putt.
Kevin Kisner and Tom Kim added two more points for Jupiter on the 11th and 12th holes, but Adam Scott tied things up on the 14th hole. Scott's win on Hole 14 led to the first overtime in TGL history.
The format for overtime was a best-of-three, closest-to-the-pin battle. Jupiter won the first thanks to a nice shot from Kim before Kisner's shot gave his team the win.
It's safe to say fans were excited by Woods and McIlroy's battle on Monday.
There's still plenty of golf to be played in the TGL this year, but Woods and McIlroy's battle will be hard to top. Woods will be idle next week, while McIlroy's team will face Los Angeles Golf Club.
