WWE Rumors: Jordynne Grace Signs Contract After TNA Wrestling Stint

WWE reportedly bolstered its women's division in a big way with a signing that will surely excite fans.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, former TNA Superstar Jordynne Grace has officially signed with WWE on a reported multi-year deal.

Grace began her wrestling career on the independent circuit in 2012 before joining TNA in 2018 and going on to become one of the greatest women's wrestlers in the company's history.

She was a three-time Knockouts world champion, and her 677 combined days with the title are the second-most in TNA history behind only seven-time champion Gail Kim. She was also a Knockouts tag team champion and the inaugural TNA Digital Media champion, making her the first and only Knockouts Triple Crown winner.

Grace had been rumored to be joining WWE since it was known that her contract expired with TNA earlier this month. She posted a thank you video following her final match at the TNA Genesis pay-per-view:

Grace, 28, already has some experience working under the WWE banner. She made a surprise appearance as an entrant in the women's Royal Rumble match last January. She returned to the company in May when she appeared on WWE NXT to challenge NXT women's champion Roxanne Perez for her title at Battleground the following month, but she was unsuccessful. She also took part in a 10-woman tag team match at NXT 2300 in November.

Whether Grace starts out in NXT or makes the jump straight to the main roster, fans can expect big things from her in WWE. The longtime powerlifter presents a different level of athleticism than any woman on the roster, and the company will likely want to showcase that as much as possible.

The timing of Grace's contract suggests she could be inserted into this year's women's Royal Rumble match during the premium live event on Saturday.
