The Undertaker will grace a special edition of WWE 2K25.
WWE Games announced Monday this year's entry into the annual series will include a "Deadman Edition" and revealed the cover:
Fans are naturally left to wonder what this portends for WWE 2K25 and what special features might accompany the "Deadman Edition."
There's certainly more than enough to pull from The Undertaker's legendary career to base a "Showcase" around him. There have been subtle hints that honor might be reserved for Roman Reigns this year, though.
During Raw's premiere on Netflix, Paul Heyman gave a promo telling Reigns they "need a platform from which the whole world can acknowledge you." The Tribal Chief said to reserve his calendar for Jan. 27 before walking though a door with a WWE 2K25 sign:
WWE Games also released a clip in which Jey Uso hyped up WWE 2K25, and the camera panned away as he said "showcase."
Even if fans don't get to relive The Undertaker's biggest moments in the ring, it feels safe to assume he'll have a larger presence than usual in 2K25. At the very least, multiple iterations of The Deadman are likely to be available.
Aside from the "Deadman Edition" reveal, information about 2K25 remains scarce for now.
Developers released some screenshots showing off a handful of current stars earlier this month.
Fans may not have to wait much longer to see what else is in store. WWE 2K's official site said that "game-changing features, iconic Superstars, and more details" will be divulged Tuesday.
