Solo Sikoa Talks WWE 2K25, The Bloodline, Royal Rumble and More in B/R Interview

Following the official reveal of The Bloodline Edition of WWE 2K25 on Tuesday, new Bloodline leader Solo Sikoa gave his thoughts on the upcoming video game, its new features and the future of his group in WWE.

The popular WWE 2K series is jumping headfirst into the iconic Bloodline storyline this year, as the game will feature a 2K Showcase entitled "The Bloodline's Dynasty," as well as a Bloodline Edition of WWE 2K25 with Sikoa, Roman Reigns and several other members of the new and original Bloodline on the cover.

Sikoa expressed great pride in being a WWE 2K25 cover athlete, but also noted that he expects more of the same in the future, saying: "It is an honor. I'm happy for my family, I'm happy for my Bloodline. It is pretty cool ... But like I said, I'm expected to be featured on this game, on this cover. I will be featured on the next cover and the next cover after that."

While the Anoa'i family has been a dominant force in pro wrestling for decades, the Bloodline storyline began in 2020 after Reigns aligned himself with Paul Heyman.

Several others became part of the saga in the months and years that followed, including Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn and Sikoa.

After Reigns dropped the undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes last year at WrestleMania 40, Sikoa took over leadership of The Bloodline and reshaped it in his vision, bringing in Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

The new Bloodline immediately ran roughshod over the WWE roster and competed in many high-profile matches, including the main event of SummerSlam 2024 when Solo challenged Rhodes for the WWE title.

Sikoa isn't surprised by the new Bloodline's immediate success, noting that anyone who comes into contact with The Bloodline immediately reaches the next level: "I think anybody or anything that's involved in the Bloodline story, it's big already. I feel like no matter who's the next comer, the newest members that come in, they're just gonna elevate to the top just like Jacob, just like Tama and Tonga Loa."

Prior to Reigns beating Sikoa for the Ula Fala and the title of Tribal Chief on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix, Sikoa's new Bloodline faced Reigns' original Bloodline and CM Punk in a WarGames match at Survivor Series in November.

Since WarGames matches are once again in WWE 2K25 after debuting in WWE 2K23, Sikoa expressed interest in playing the match out with different results in the game, saying: "Yeah, I think the new Bloodline wins. We lay everybody out. Of course I wanna run it back. Hell, I wanna run it back Friday and Monday and we'll run it back Friday again."

In WWE 2K25's Bloodline's Dynasty Showcase, gamers can relive some of the biggest matches and moments in the history of The Bloodline and the Anoa'i family, including Bloodline members and WWE legends such as The Rock and Yokozuna.

There is also a new mode called "The Island," which is an interactive world that allows players to explore and challenge others in an effort to join Reigns and The Bloodline.

Other notable additions to WWE 2K25 include multiple new match types such as the Underground Match, Bloodline Rules Match and the long-awaited intergender matches.

Now, gamers can pit the best men's and women's Superstars of today and the past against or alongside each other in never-before-seen dream matches.

Amid the excitement of the intergender match inclusion, Sikoa mentioned his cousin, former WWE women's champion Nia Jax, as someone he believes would be a good fit in his version of The Bloodline in real life or in WWE 2K25.

Although Sikoa and his Bloodline were dealt a major blow when he fell to Reigns in Tribal Combat, he still has huge aspirations for the future.

Ahead of Saturday's Royal Rumble premium live event, Solo mentioned his expectations for himself in Indianapolis, saying: "Solo winning the Royal Rumble. Solo going on to main event WrestleMania, baby."

Accomplishing that feat won't be easy since the men's Royal Rumble features one of the most stacked fields in the history of the match with Reigns, Punk, John Cena, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre all declaring for the bout.

Sikoa also expressed his desire to bring the undisputed WWE Championship and the Tag Team Championships back to the new Bloodline, and winning the Rumble would go a long way toward helping those dreams become reality.

WWE is heading toward the most exciting time of the year for its product with Royal Rumble and WrestleMania on the horizon, and the forthcoming release of WWE 2K25 figures to add to the enthusiasm for its fans.

The standard edition of WWE 2K25 will be available on March 14, while those who pre-order the Bloodline Edition or Deadman Edition can play seven days early starting on March 7.

All three versions of the game can be purchased or pre-ordered for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
