Tiger Woods was revealed as the cover athlete for PGA TOUR 2K25's Legend Edition on Monday.

This isn't the first time that the golfer has been on the cover of the game series, as he was also featured similarly on PGA TOUR 2K23.

Woods, a 15-time major champion and 82-time PGA Tour winner, undoubtedly fits the criteria of a legend in the sport.

Six-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa and former U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick will also be featured on the cover of the game's deluxe edition.

Woods agreed to an exclusive, long-term partnership with 2K in March 2021 that included "rights for his name and likeness to appear exclusively in the PGA TOUR 2K franchise, as well as any other golf games published by 2K during the partnership term."

The 49-year-old was also brought on as PGA TOUR 2K's executive director and consultant as part of the agreement.

"I am looking forward to making my return to the video game landscape, and with 2K and HB Studios, I've found the right partners to make it happen," Woods said at the time, per the official announcement.

He appeared sparingly throughout the 2024 season after undergoing back surgery for the sixth time in his career to address a nerve impingement. Woods' latest appearance alongside his son at the PNC Championship Pro-Am on Dec. 19 was his first competition since the Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf Club in July.

While health issues have slowed down Woods as of late, he'll be honored for his historic overall career on the cover of the upcoming game.
