If the All-Pro voting is a preview of the MVP ballotting, then Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is in line to finish ahead of Josh Allen.

The 2024 AP NFL All-Pro teams were announced on Friday, with Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson leading the first team.

Allen, Derrick Henry and George Kittle are the headliners on the All-Pro second team.

This is the second consecutive All-Pro first-team selection for Jackson and third in his career. The previous two times it happened (2019 and 2023) he was also voted NFL MVP.

The only other time Allen was named to the All-Pro squad was in 2020 when he was voted to the second team. Aaron Rodgers, who was named MVP that season, was the first-team quarterback.

Voting among the quarterbacks wasn't particularly close. Jackson received 30 out of 50 possible first-place votes and 109 total points. Allen got 18 first-place votes and 78 points. Joe Burrow was the only other quarterback to receive first-place votes (two).

The only quarterbacks in history with more first-team All-Pro selections than Jackson are Peyton Manning (seven) and Rodgers (four).

Despite being regarded as one of the best running backs in the NFL throughout his career, Barkley had never made the All-Pro team prior to this season. He led the league in carries (345), rushing yards (2,005), touches (378) and yards from scrimmage (2,283).

Henry is back on the All-Pro team for the first time since 2020. He rejuvenated his career in his first season with the Ravens, running for 1,921 yards and a league-high 16 rushing touchdowns.

Barkley dominated Henry in the voting with 48 out of 50 first-place votes. Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase were the only unanimous All-Pro selections. Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II finished one vote shy of being a unanimous pick.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is one of 14 first-time All-Pro selections this season. The Georgia alum set rookie records with 112 receptions and 1,194 receiving yards by a tight end, with the latter record being in place since 1961 when Mike Ditka had 1,076 yards.

The Ravens, Eagles and Detroit Lions tied for the most All-Pro selections with six. The Ravens and Lions tied for the most first-team selections with four each. Thirteen of the 14 playoff teams had at least one All-Pro player, with the Los Angeles Rams being the lone one missing.
