The casting news for Happy Gilmore 2 isn't stopping, with WWE superstar Becky Lynch and former NFL All-Pro running back Reggie Bush being the latest stars confirmed to be in the movie.
Per PW Insider (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), Lynch and Bush will appear in the movie as golfers.
Additional details about their roles and the plot of the movie are unavailable right now.
As is often the case with an Adam Sandler movie, he has enlisted the services of several athletes from the sports world to fill out the cast. AEW star MJF is playing one of Sandler's sons in the film and footage of him filming a scene was posted online in October.
Sandler has also confirmed that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will have a cameo in the movie. PGA Tour star Jordan Spieth has confirmed he filmed a cameo with current and former golfers, including Jack Nicklaus, Rickie Fowler, Lee Trevino and Corey Pavin.
Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer for the project on Christmas Day, but an official release date for the movie has not yet been revealed.
Lynch, whose return to WWE appears imminent, has been stacking up acting roles in outside projects in recent years. She appeared in two episodes of Young Rock as Cyndi Lauper and announced last month she landed a role on the Paramount Plus series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
Bush, who won the 2005 Heisman Trophy at USC, recently worked as a television analyst for Fox Sports' college football coverage from 2019 to '22. This will be his first acting appearance in a movie.
