The Rock Hypes WWE Return for Raw's Netflix Debut in Post Dedicated to His Family

The Rock made a seismic announcement Sunday, revealing that he will be present for the debut episode of WWE Raw on Netflix on Monday night.

He divulged the news in a post on X, which also included an anecdote about his family, writing:

"I'll come back home to WWE tomorrow night as we make history on Netflix and begin a new and exciting era.

"Tomorrow night is dedicated to my grandfather, the High Chief Peter Maivia, my grandmother, Lia Maivia and my dad, Rocky "Soulman" Johnson and my ancestors who have ALL paved the way."

Monday will mark The Rock's first appearance on WWE programming since he showed up unannounced following a tag team match pitting Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood back in October.

As part of his post, The Rock noted that Samoan High Chief Maleatoa Tunamafili II bestowed the title of High Chief Seiuli onto him 20 years ago.

It is fair to assume that The Rock mentioned that information since Reigns and Sikoa are set to do battle in Tribal Combat for the Ula Fala and the role of Tribal Chief of The Bloodline on Monday night.

At WrestleMania 40 last year, The Rock had his first true WWE match in over a decade, as he teamed with Reigns to defeat Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of Night 1.

During the build toward that match, The Rock turned heel and began referring to himself as The Final Boss. That led to questions among fans regarding who was actually calling the shots between The Rock and Reigns.

After Reigns dropped the WWE Championship to Rhodes on Night 2 of WrestleMania 40, he took several months off. The Rock did the same after cutting a promo on Rhodes on the Raw after WrestleMania, during which he foreshadowed a potential future match between himself and The American Nightmare.

With Reigns and The Rock out of the picture, Sikoa took control of The Bloodline and made several changes, including kicking out Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman, and bringing in Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Fatu.

Following Reigns and Rhodes' win over Sikoa and Fatu at Bad Blood, The Rock appeared and made a throat-slashing motion, although he did not get on the mic to explain the reason for his presence.

Things could potentially become much clearer on Raw should The Rock get involved with Tribal Combat in some way.

It is also possible that The Rock could confront Rhodes to set the stage for a match against him, much like he teased last April.

Whatever the case, an appearance by The Rock is poised to take an already massive episode of Raw and advance it to the next level.

With the Royal Rumble and the start of the road to WrestleMania less than one month away, The Rock could shape the outlook significantly based on what he does on Raw.
