Week 18 Rankings and Stat Projections
Taking into consideration the likelihood that several playoff-clinched teams will not play their starters, these are the rankings for Week 18 in fantasy football:

2. Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (8 rec., 100 yds, TD)

5. Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints (6 rec., 85 yds, TD)
6. Saquon Barkley, RB, Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants (14 carries, 101 yds)
7. Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings (15 carries, 85 rush yds, TD, 4 rec., 35 yds)
8. Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots (185 yds, TD, 3 rush, 35 yds)

10. De'Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins at New York Jets (14 carries, 75 yds, TD, 2 rec., 40 yds)
11. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (20 carries, 125 yds)
12. Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers (300 yds, 3 TDs)
13. Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings (6 rec., 50 yds, TD)
14. Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks (4 rec., 45 yds, TD)
15. Tony Pollard, RB, Tennesee Titans vs. Houston Texans (15 carries, 65 yds, TD)
Waiver Wire: Michael Carter, RB, Arizona Cardinals
With James Conner exiting the Week 17 match-up against the Rams, and Trey Benson missing multiple games due to an ankle injury, it looks as though former New York Jet Michael Carter will be the Cardinals' lead back against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18.
The Niners are ranked 26th against opposing running backs in 2024, giving up 24.46 points per game to the position. If that is not enough, Carter is a dual threat back who can influence the passing game as much as he benefits the run game.
He has caught seven balls for 41 yards over the last two weeks, in addition 18 carries for 88 yards over that same period.
Against a Niners team with nothing to play for, managers needing a running back in the event of injury or under-performance should take a chance on Carter, who could have a big day in a mostly meaningless game.
Carter is available in at least 97 percent of leagues.
Waiver Wire: Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts
Anthony Richardson missed Week 17 with a foot and back injury, opening the door for Joe Flacco. A deep ball thrower, the veteran backup found Alec Pierce down field for six times for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Assuming Richardson does not play a meaningless game against Jacksonville in Week 18, there is plenty of potential for Pierce to replicate his performance from Sunday.
The third-year player faces a Jaguar's defense ranked 25th against opposing wide receivers, giving up 35.92 points to the position per game. The last time Pierce faced the Jags defense, he scorched them with three catches for 134 yards and a touchdown en route to a sixth-place finish among receivers.
He finished eighth among receivers in Week 17, with a real shot at an even better finish if Flacco can find the speedster down the field against that leaky Jaguars secondary.
Pierce is available in over 85 percent of all leagues.
