It's the middle of championship week in the fantasy football world.
Or it is in the leagues that do it right, at least.
Week 17 of the 2024 NFL season kicked off with a two-game slate on Wednesday and continued with a Thursday night collision, but the bulk of the action is yet to play out. That means there is plenty of fantasy production still on the board, you just need to know where to find it.
We're here to help with that search as we're laying out our latest rankings and spotlighting the best matchup at every position.
Quarterback
Top 10
1. Josh Allen, BUF (vs. NYJ)
2. Jayden Daniels, WAS (vs. ATL)
3. Joe Burrow, CIN (vs. DEN)
4. Baker Mayfield, TB (vs. CAR)
5. Kyler Murray, ARI (at LAR)
6. Bo Nix, DEN (at CIN)
7. Brock Purdy, SF (vs. DET)
8. Sam Darnold, MIN (vs. GB)
9. Jared Goff, DET (at SF)
10. Aaron Rodgers, NYJ (at BUF)
Best matchup: Bo Nix at Cincinnati Bengals
While there's some risk-reward with Nix's production (five interceptions over his last three games), the volume is hard to overlook. He's had multiple touchdown passes in five of his last six outings and better than 260 passing yards in four of them. He has a great chance to keep piling up production against a Bengals defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to the position, per Yahoo.
Running Back
Top 10
1. Saquon Barkley, PHI (vs. DAL)
2. Jahmyr Gibbs, DET (at SF)
3. Josh Jacobs, GB (at MIN)
4. Bijan Robinson, ATL (at WAS)
5. De'Von Achane, MIA (at CLE)
6. Kyren Williams, LAR (vs. ARI)
7. Jonathan Taylor, IND (at NYG)
8. Chase Brown, CIN (vs. DEN)
9. Bucky Irving, TB (vs. CAR)
10. James Cook, BUF (vs. NYJ)
Best matchup: Bucky Irving vs. Carolina Panthers
While the four-win Panthers have been comically bad at a lot of things, they are especially abysmal against the run. Carolina has allowed 2,628 rushing yards so far. That's more than double what the Vikings and Ravens have given up, and it's nearly 500 yards above what the 31st-ranked Giants have surrendered. Irving knows about Carolina's vulnerability as well as anyone, having torched this defense for 185 scrimmage yards and a score in the teams' Week 13 tussle.
Wide Receiver
Top 10
1. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (vs. DEN)
2. Justin Jefferson, MIN (vs. GB)
3. Puka Nacua, LAR (vs. ARI)
4. Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (at SF)
5. Davante Adams, NYJ (at BUF)
6. A.J. Brown, PHI (vs. DAL)
7. Brian Thomas Jr., JAX (vs. TEN)
8. Mike Evans, TB (vs. CAR)
9. Terry McLaurin, WAS (vs. ATL)
10. Malik Nabers, NYG (vs. IND)
Best matchup: Terry McLaurin vs. Atlanta Falcons
Last week, the Falcons allowed both Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson to catch seven passes for better than 60 yards. Two weeks prior, Atlanta ceded 15 receptions for 265 yards and five touchdowns to Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Just before that, Ladd McConkey had nine catches for 117 yards against this defense. McLaurin, who has six touchdown receptions in his last four games, has a great chance to keep his scoring binge going.
Tight End
Top 10
1. George Kittle, SF (vs. DET)
2. Brock Bowers, LV (at NO)
3. Trey McBride, ARI (at LAR)
4. Jonnu Smith, MIA (at CLE)
5. Sam LaPorta, DET (at SF)
6. T.J. Hockenson, MIN (vs. GB)
7. Dalton Kincaid, BUF (vs. NYJ)
8. Zach Ertz, WAS (vs. ATL)
9. Chig Okonkwo, TEN (at JAX)
10. Brenton Strange, JAX (vs. TEN)
Best matchup: Chig Okonkwo at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Titans have made a concerted effort to involve Okonkwo in recent weeks, and his production is perking up at the right time. Over his last two games, he's seen 21 targets, catching 17 of those passes for 140 yards. If the volume sustains, he should do damage against a Jaguars defense allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends.
Kicker
Top 10
1. Jake Bates, DET (at SF)
2. Chase McLaughlin, TB (vs. CAR)
3. Tyler Bass, BUF (vs. NYJ)
4. Jake Elliott, PHI (vs. DAL)
5. Jason Sanders, MIA (at CLE)
6. Brandon Aubrey, DAL (at PHI)
7. Joshua Karty, LAR (vs. ARI)
8. Will Lutz, DEN (at CIN)
9. Will Reichard, MIN (vs. GB)
10. Zane Gonzalez, WAS (vs. ATL)
Best matchup: Chase McLaughlin vs. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers have allowed a league-worst 448 points this season, so it's little surprise to see they've allowed the most fantasy points to kickers, too. McLaughlin had a hand in that ranking, having booted four field goals (on five attempts) and converting both of his extra points when these clubs met in Week 13.
Defense/Special Teams
Top 10
1. Colts at NYG
2. Eagles vs. DAL
3. Dolphins at CLE
4. Buccaneers vs. CAR
5. Bills vs. NYJ
6. Raiders at NO
7. Saints vs. LV
8. Commanders vs. ATL
9. Packers at MIN
10. Titans at Jaguars
Best matchup: Dolphins at Cleveland Browns
The Browns are 31st in scoring, giveaways and sacks allowed. This is a gold-mine matchup in other words and the fantasy world's most generous. Miami, which has 10 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery over its last three games, should be primed for a big showing here.
