Suns Announce $2 Concessions 'Value Menu' for NBA Games at Footprint Center

Buying a hot dog, soda and popcorn will cost fans a total of $6 at Phoenix Suns games this season.

The Suns are introducing a $2 "value menu" for home games this season, Suns owner Mat Ishbia announced Wednesday on X.

Ishbia assumed a majority stake in the Suns prior to the 2023-24 campaign. The Suns were one of a dozen NBA teams that sold out every home game last season.

The value menu will be available starting during Thursday's home game against the Indiana Pacers, according to the team.

The Suns aren't the only team to work to draw fans in with decreased concession prices this season.

The Smith Entertainment Group, the company directed by Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith, announced in September that Delta Center would offer $2 and $3 pricing for some concessions during Jazz and Utah Hockey Club home games this season.

The Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks began the trend by cutting concession prices ahead of the 2018 season. The Falcons said after the season that concession sales rose after the prices dropped, per ESPN's Darren Rovell.

The Suns will now look to adopt similarly decreasing pricing during the 28 home games remaining this season. The Footprint Center could potentially add more to the schedule if the team remains on track to make the postseason following a 14-11 start to the campaign.

Kevin Durant and Devin Booker are both averaging more than 25 points per game in their first season under head coach Mike Budenholzer. The Suns have been streaky so far, following a seven-game win streak with a five-game losing slump early this season, but should the team even out they can remain on track for a playoff berth and the chance to redeem themselves from last year's first-round sweep by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
