Rookie cards for Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama were a hot commodity in the trading card market over the last year.

Professional Sports Authenticators (PSA) released Wednesday its collection figures from 2024. Wembanyama had more cards graded (407,000) than any other athlete, comfortably beating out NBA legend Michael Jordan (269,000).

The overall collection numbers don't come as a big surprise. Collectors have long coveted rookie cards for the top stars in a given draft class, and both Clark and Wembanyama hit the ground running in the WNBA and NBA respectively.

Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists, and her 337 total assists were a single-season record in the WNBA. The 6'0" guard finished fourth in the MVP voting as the Fever punched a ticket to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Clark's overall impact when beyond her direct contributions to Indiana as the WNBA's attendance and viewership, which were trending upward, saw massive jumps.

Like Clark, Wembanyama might be even better than advertised to this point his NBA career. Along with winning Rookie of the Year, the 7'3" Frenchman was runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year.

Through 92 appearances, Wembanyama is averaging 21.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.6 blocks while knocking down 2.1 three-pointers. Earlier this season, he had his first 50-point game.

As valuable as Clark and Wembanyama rookies are now, they're probably not going to get any cheaper.

You should also get your hands on as many JuJu Watkins cards as you can. According to PSA, her grading volume increased by 8,561 percent over the last year.

Watkins emerged as one of the biggest stars in women's basketball in no time. As a true freshman at USC, she was second in Division I in scoring behind Clark with 27.1 points, and she helped the Trojans become nationally relevant again. The two-time national champions advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1994, and they're seventh nationally to open 2024-25 with a 10-1 record.

Under the WNBA's current collective bargaining agreement, Watkins won't be eligible to enter the league until 2027. That won't stop her trading cards and memorabilia from surging in value over the next few years.
