The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Vanderbilt Commodores were two of the most exciting, upset-hungry teams in the power-four conferences this season.
Georgia Tech knocked off the Florida State Seminoles at the start of the season and downed the Miami Hurricanes in November.
Vanderbilt's biggest scalp was a home win over the Alabama Crimson Tide, a result that likely cost Bama a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Georgia Tech and Vandy will meet in the Birmingham Bowl, one of the few power-conference bowl matchups that, so far, has not been hit by a ton of opt-outs.
As of now, the Colorado Buffaloes are taking a full squad to the Alamo Bowl to play the BYU Cougars. If all of their stars play, that could be a terrific matchup between top 25 squads.

Georgia Tech (-2.5) vs. Vanderbilt
Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt fit together perfectly.
Both teams resided in the second tier of their respective conferences, but they were frisky throughout the entire campaign.
Georgia Tech pulled off two upsets and almost landed a third against the Georgia Bulldogs, while Vanderbilt was everyone's worst nightmare in the SEC.
Haynes King and Diego Pavia are both dual-threat quarterbacks who can create a ton of excitement, which is why the Birmingham Bowl carries some of the most intrigue among the non-playoff bowls.
Georgia Tech will be at a disadvantage without top pass-catcher Eric Singleton, who is off to Auburn in the transfer portal, but that is the only key absence on both sides two weeks out from the game.
Vanderbilt could have the slight edge because of Singleton's transfer, but King has found a way to make plays all season for the Yellow Jackets, and he should do the same on December 27.
Georgia Tech owns the edge in recent form, as it won two of its last three with the loss coming in eight overtimes to Georgia.
Vanderbilt faded toward the end of the season, and while it should still be competitive, it might lack the knockout punch it had earlier in the year against Bama.
Prediction: Georgia Tech 34, Vanderbilt 31
BYU vs. Colorado (-3)
As of now, we get one final chance to see Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter play for Colorado in the Alamo Bowl.
Their decisions could change between now and December 28, but if they play, they should be in for one of the better non-playoff battles with BYU.
Both teams were in the mix to make the Big 12 Championship Game, but late losses doomed the chances of each squad. The two teams did not face each other in Big 12 play, which is why the bowl matchup between conference mates is allowed.
BYU regularly scored in the 30s behind quarterback Jake Retzlaff, and if the Cougars offense from the first two-thirds of the season shows up in San Antonio, it can challenge the Buffaloes.
Colorado played a handful of high-scoring games in the second half of the regular season, including a 41-27 win over Texas Tech and a 49-24 triumph over Utah.
The Buffaloes defense improved from last season, but it is still susceptible to points, which sets up the Alamo Bowl to be a high-scoring affair.
Prediction: Colorado 41, BYU 28
