The NBA and Nike announced on Wednesday that the second edition of the Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) Scholastic Showcase will be held this weekend in conjunction with the Emirates NBA Cup, and it will feature teams full of exciting prospects.

NBA legend Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony and his Long Island Lutheran High School squad from Brookeville, N.Y. headline the six-team field that will be competing in a series of games from Thursday to Monday in front of league scouts in Las Vegas.

Anthony and Long Island Lutheran will be joined by AZ Compass (Chandler, Ariz.), Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.), Link Academy (Branson, Mo.), Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) and Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.). Games will be played at Dolby Live on Friday and Sunday, T-Mobile Arena on Sunday and Bishop Gorman High School on Monday.

The EYBL Scholastic Showcase is being held alongside The Chosen-1's Invitational powered by LeBron James, which is another showcase and competition for 12 teams that will be hosted at Dolby Live on Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to competing against each other in games, the EYBL Scholastic Showcase teams will also participate in a variety of personal development and community activities throughout the weekend, including the NBA Cares Day of Service benefitting members of the Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA. Players will also participate in leadership and life skills seminars and attend the Emirates NBA Cup Eastern Conference semifinal game on Saturday. Also, EYBL Scholastic coaches will have the opportunity to participate in a coaching development session.

This weekend's showcase continues the effort by the NBA and Nike to prepare the next generation of basketball stars for their future careers.
