The Los Angeles Rams handed the Kansas City Chiefs a favor in the race for home-field advantage in the AFC.
Sean McVay's team knocked off the Buffalo Bills in Week 14's late-afternoon window.
Kansas City took full advantage of that result and opened up a two-game lead on the Bills with its division-clinching win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Rams' win also helped their own standing in the NFC West and wild-card races. They are now a game behind first place in each division.
The Seattle Seahawks are in command of the NFC West after their win over the Arizona Cardinals.
A change occurred in the NFC South in the early-afternoon window, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers leapfrogged the Atlanta Falcons.

Kansas City now owns a two-game advantage on the Bills for the No. 1 seed.
In addition to opening up the gap on the Bills, the Chiefs secured another AFC West title with their triumph over the Los Angeles Chargers.
There's a chance the Chiefs could be in an even more favorable spot after Week 15 since Buffalo has to face the Detroit Lions.
The Chargers fell from the No. 5 to No. 6 seed with their loss. They are behind the Baltimore Ravens on the head-to-head tiebreaker. Los Angeles is still in front of the Denver Broncos thanks to a head-to-head win.
The Miami Dolphins did their best to stay in contention in the AFC wild-card race.
Miami needed overtime to beat the New York Jets and move to 6-7 to get within two games of the Denver Broncos.
Miami and Indianapolis still need to win out and get some help from Denver's opponents to make the race close, but they are both still alive, which is something that six AFC teams can't say.
The Jets are among the sextet of teams that have already been eliminated in the AFC by the end of Week 14.
The Cincinnati Bengals absolutely need to beat the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night to keep their even slimmer playoff hopes alive.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved back into first place in the NFC South.
Baker Mayfield led the Bucs to a double-digit win over the Las Vegas Raiders to get ahead of the Atlanta Falcons.
Atlanta is spiraling on a four-game losing streak that has now taken it out of the playoff spots entirely.
The division title is the best path to the playoffs for most teams in the NFC South and NFC West. The Washington Commanders have a better record than seven of the eight teams in those two divisions.
The Rams are the only team within one game of the Commanders in the wild-card race. Los Angeles won a 44-42 battle with the Bills to move one game over .500.
Los Angeles is in the best position to challenge Washington since the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and Falcons are all 6-7.
The Dallas Cowboys can join the group at 6-7 if they take down the Bengals at home on Monday night.
