For the first time since 2008, WWE returns to NBC with Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14 from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.
The event, which dates back to the golden era of WWE in the 1980s, will see championships defended and one of the most intensely personal rivalries write its latest chapter as Cody Rhodes defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.
Who walks away with the top prize in the industry and what can fans expect from the other matches announced for the long-awaited return of one of wrestling's most nostalgic events?
Find out with these predictions for the match card.
Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens
The fracture in the relationship between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, rooted in the former's decision to team with their common enemy, Roman Reigns, has put the undisputed WWE champion on a collision course with The Prizefighter, leading to an intensely personal matchup.
Is KO right with his perception that Rhodes betrayed him first by partnering with Reigns? That remains to be seen, but the question entering Saturday is whether WWE will make SNME a can't-miss show by doing the unthinkable and booking Owens to win the title.
Probably not, but expect an angle that spurs interest and propels the feud forward. Rhodes either retains by pinfall or disqualification, or he unleashes months of frustration and gets himself DQ'ed to set up a rematch, presumably at the Royal Rumble on February 1.
Either way, Rhodes emerges with this title and the feud continues.
Prediction: Rhodes retains his title, win or lose
Women's World Championship: Iyo Sky vs. Liv Morgan
Iyo Sky bested the Raw women's division in a Battle Royal to win a shot at the Women's World Championship on December 14 against Liv Morgan.
There is no real feud between the two, but things did escalate at Survivor Series: War Games when Sky's breathtaking dive from the top of the steel cage helped lead her team, captained by Rhea Ripley, to victory.
The challenger is one of the best wrestlers on the planet, but this feels little more than an excuse to get the title match on Saturday Night's Main Event rather than a contest in which Sky has a legitimate chance to defeat the heel and take her title.
With the money in the blowoff between Morgan and Ripley, the conclusion of a year-long rivalry, this feels like a foregone conclusion.
Prediction: Morgan retains, likely with interference from Raquel Rodriguez
World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther vs. Finn Bálor
Finn Bálor has twice assisted Gunther in defeating Damian Priest to either win the World Heavyweight Championship or retain it.
Now, intent on proving he is the true leader of The Judgment Day, he challenges The Ring General for the top prize on the Raw brand.
Bálor jumped Gunther last Monday on Raw, leaving the world champ lying and sending a clear message to him ahead of their high-stakes match in Long Island.
The Ring General retains on Saturday Night's Main Event, but do not be surprised if the outcome features Priest, who has unfinished business with both men. Perhaps we get a Triple Threat Match at Royal Rumble, the direct result of what occurs on NBC.
Either way, Bálor does not wrest the title from Gunther, who lives to see another day as champion as his story and on-screen persona continues to evolve.
Prediction: Gunther retains
