Breece Hall, Malik Nabers, NFL Injury Statuses and Fantasy Impact for Week 14

Joe Tansey

Two of the brightest stars on the New York football scene have major injury concerns going into Week 14.

New York Jets running back Breece Hall is officially doubtful for Sunday afternoon's clash with the Miami Dolphins.

The news regarding New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers isn't great either. He is questionable to play against the New Orleans Saints.

Below is a look at all of the significant fantasy football news regarding the Week 14 slate.

Breece Hall Listed as Doubtful

The Jets and fantasy football players took a big hit going into Week 14 with the news of Breece Hall's status.

The doubtful designation with a knee injury does not make it seem like the star running back will be on the field to face the Miami Dolphins.

Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis are the natural replacements for Hall inside the Jets offense. Allen earned four more carries than Davis last week, but Davis had three receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Allen seems like the obvious candidate to pick up Hall's rushing responsibilities, while Davis is a super sleeper in points-per-reception leagues as a bye week replacement.

Miami held five of its last six opponents under 100 rushing yards, so the direct pivot to replace may have to come from another team.

Isaac Guerendo is the ideal waiver-wire pickup, if he hasn't been claimed yet in your league, because he will be thrust into the No. 1 running back role in San Francisco.

Tyrone Tracy Jr., Ray Davis and Zach Charbonnet are other names to consider. Charbonnet could be in for a larger workload if Kenneth Walker is hampered by his injuries. Walker is officially listed as questionable.

It's far from the ideal situation near the end of the fantasy football regular season with six teams on byes, but there are some gems available on the waiver wire.

Malik Nabers Listed As Questionable

Malik Nabers' outlook is slightly more positive ahead of the Giants' clash with the Saints.

Nabers is dealing with a hip injury and did not practice on Friday. Giants head coach Brian Daboll detailed the injury on Friday, per ESPN.com's Jordan Raanan.

"[Thursday] it happened in practice," Daboll said. "Again, every injury is a little bit different. Hopeful that he'll be ready to play, but can't say he will be or not."

The late-week occurrence of the injury is the concerning part for any fantasy football players with Nabers on their roster.

If Nabers can't go, Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt will be Drew Lock's top pass-catchers.

It may not initially seem like an ideal spot, but the Saints have the NFL's fifth-worst passing defense.

Slayton, Robinson or Hyatt probably will not lead the league in receiving yards this week, but there's at least an opportunity for success in front of them. Tight end Theo Johnson should be considered as a waiver-wire pickup as well from the Giants roster.

Tennessee's Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Las Vegas' Jakobi Meyers or Tre Tucker and Jacksonville's Parker Washington are among the wide receivers from other teams who could be picked up to help fill Nabers' production void if he doesn't play.
