Despite some eye-opening performances from potential 2025 NBA draft prospects, Duke star freshman Cooper Flagg reportedly remains entrenched in his status as the presumptive No. 1 overall pick.

While discussing Rutgers freshman guard Dylan Harper's impressive start to the season, ESPN's Jeremy Woo revealed that it won't be easy for anyone to supplant Flagg in next summer's draft.

"While there's a long way to go -- and most around the NBA presently feel it will be a tall task for any prospect to unseat Flagg as the presumptive top pick in June -- there's an easy argument to be made that Harper has been the best freshman in the season's first month," Woo stated.

Harper solidified his status as a top-five pick with back-to-back impressive performances against stout opponents last week at the Players Era tournament. He dropped 36 points, six rebounds and six assists in a win against Notre Dame and followed that up with 37 points in a loss to Alabama.

However, Flagg has been able to live up to expectations thanks to his consistent production across the board for the Blue Devils. He leads the team with averages of 15.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.3 blocks per game.

It's clear that the 2025 draft class will be full of talented players, but they have some work to do if they hope to be chosen ahead of Flagg with the No. 1 pick.
