Fantasy Trade Market: Players to Sell for Shot at Ashton Jeanty, Rookie Draft Picks

Maurice Moton

If you're at the bottom of the standings, the 2025 NFL draft is already on your mind. Prospects such as Ashton Jeanty, Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward and Tetairoa McMillan can instantly change your team's trajectory.

First, you must ensure you're in a position to draft them.

Perhaps you traded your top picks to make a playoff push, but that didn't work out. Or maybe you want to acquire more capital to draft multiple blue-chip prospects.

Whatever the case, you should start maneuvering your draft position before the offseason becomes everyone's primary focus. Make your chess moves before the competition.

This week's fantasy trade market will feature players who could fetch premium draft capital along with buy-now and hold options for teams gearing up for the playoffs.

Titans RB Tony Pollard Cooper Neill/Getty Images

Tony Pollard, RB, Tennessee Titans

Week 13: 8 carries, 35 yards; 4 catches, 33 yards

2024 Season: 192 carries, 835 yards, 4 TDs; 37 catches, 211 yards; 1 fumble lost

Despite Pollard's modest Week 13 stat line, managers should be encouraged by his touch volume with Tyjae Spears back from a one-game absence.

On the brink of elimination from playoff contention, the Titans still have a clear-cut No. 1 running back who will command a lion's share of the touches in Pollard and has a favorable playoff schedule.

If Tennessee can stay competitive in its upcoming contests, the 27-year-old should have productive weeks against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts. All three teams fielded run defenses that ranked 20th or worse in total yards coming into Week 13.

Buy Pollard for: D'Andre Swift, Travis Etienne, Nick Chubb

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns

Week 13: vs. Denver Broncos (Monday Night Football)

2024 Season: 45 catches, 645 yards, 2 TDs

Since the Cleveland Browns named Jameis Winston their starting quarterback, he's thrown at least 41 passes in three out of four starts, with the exception being a snow game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12 (27 pass attempts). Jeudy has racked up 73-plus receiving yards in each of those contests.

Remember, the Browns signed Jeudy to a three-year extension in March. He's 25 and a first-round pick from the 2020 draft with some upside in a pass-heavy offense.

Even if fellow wideout Cedric Tillman returns from a concussion in Week 14, Jeudy could have another strong outing against the Steelers and continue to put up WR2 numbers against the Kansas City Chiefs' and Cincinnati Bengals' leaky pass defenses in the following weeks.

Buy Jeudy for: Keenan Allen, Michael Pittman Jr., Jameson Williams

T.J. Hockenson, TE, Minnesota Vikings

Week 13: 3 catches, 28 yards

2024 Season: 23 catches, 254 yards

Hockenson's target share may fluctuate with wideouts Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison heavily involved in the passing game, but he's still averaging 50.8 receiving yards per contest since his return from injury and had two top-five finishes in fantasy scoring among tight ends over the last five weeks.

If you need a tight end, the two-time Pro Bowler could be a solid boost, and his stock shouldn't cost a first-round pick. He's coming off a quiet performance against the Arizona Cardinals, who ranked within the bottom eight in fantasy points allowed to tight ends entering Week 13.

In the next four weeks, the Vikings will face the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers. Last week, all four of those teams ranked within the top half leaguewide in fantasy points allowed to TEs.

Buy Hockenson for: Dallas Goedert, Pat Freiermuth, Evan Engram

Texans RB Joe Mixon David Rosenblum/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

Joe Mixon, RB, Houston Texans

Week 13: 20 carries, 101 yards, TD; 4 catches, 18 yards

2024 Season: 205 carries, 887 yards, 11 TDs; 27 catches, 244 yards, TD

You probably drafted Mixon after the first round, so flipping him for a top 2025 pick would be a win in terms of value.

At 28 years old, Mixon is on pace for a career-high in rushing yards, averaging 88.7 yards per game. He's coming off his seventh 100-plus-yard performance on the ground, which makes this week a perfect time to sell his stock at its peak.

Because of his age, Mixon isn't likely to replicate his 2024 rushing numbers next year, especially if star wide receiver Nico Collins can stay healthy.

Keep in mind that Mixon logged four of his seven 100-yard performances while Collins sat out with a hamstring injury, so the running back's numbers are a bit inflated this season.

If you're not in the playoff hunt, cash in on Mixon's best season for a shot at Ashton Jeanty.

Sell Mixon for: 2025 1st-round pick

Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams

Week 13: 15 carries, 104 yards, TD; 1 catch, 9 yards

2024 Season: 222 carries, 926 yards, 10 TDs; 26 catches, 145 yards, 2 TDs; 3 fumbles lost

Though the Rams selected Blake Corum in the third round of this year's draft, Williams has maintained a strong hold on the featured role in the backfield, logging at least 15 touches in all 12 games. Meanwhile, the rookie has yet to record double-digit touches in a contest.

However, the Rams' backfield dynamic could change next year. This past offseason, the team openly discussed preserving Williams to keep him fresh for the duration of the season. Perhaps the club's slow start put that plan on hold, but he isn't a lock for the lion's share of the touches in 2025.

If you're eyeing Jeanty in the upcoming draft, Williams could fetch a first-round pick as he closes in on consecutive 1,000-plus-yard rushing seasons.

Sell Williams for: 2025 1st-round pick

Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins

Week 13: 6 catches, 83 yards, TD

2024 Season: 55 catches, 654 yards, 4 TDs; 7 carries, 47 yards

In August, Hill agreed to restructure his contract. He's on the Dolphins' books through the 2026 season. Still, managers should consider moving on from him early before it's too late.

This year, tight end Jonnu Smith has emerged as a playmaker in head coach and offensive play-caller Mike McDaniel's offense. He's having his best season and is under contract for the 2025 campaign.

Secondly, the elephant in the room, one has to wonder how long quarterback Tua Tagovailoa can stay healthy. He's battled injuries throughout his career, most notably concussions. He has missed at least four games in four of his five seasons.

When Tagovailoa misses time, Hill's production tanks across the board. He's not in the best spot for a 30-year-old wide receiver. Managers looking to infuse their roster with young talent should place him on the trade block following his solid outing against the Green Bay Packers.

Sell Hill for: 2025 1st-round pick

Hold These Players for Another Week

Jets RB Braelon Allen Luke Hales/Getty Images

Braelon Allen, RB, New York Jets

Week 13: 5 carries, 11 yards; 2 catches, 16 yards

2024 Season: 67 carries, 240 yards, 2 TDs; 12 catches, 97 yards, TD

The Jets may increase Allen's workload in the remaining five weeks of the season, though managers should wait it out to see if that comes to fruition.

Jets' lead running back Breece Hall went through the previous week with the questionable (to play) tag because of a knee injury. Last Sunday, he came out of the game on multiple occasions because of issues with his knee. Allen and fellow rookie running back Isaiah Davis saw limited action on the ground and in the short passing game.

At 3-9, Gang Green doesn't have a reason to push one of its best players through injury. If Hall misses time or takes on a lighter workload, Allen would be an appealing RB2 because of his three-down skill set.

Sincere McCormick, RB, Las Vegas Raiders

Week 13: 12 carries, 64 yards; 2 catches, 1 yard

2024 Season: 17 carries, 97 yards; 2 catches, 1 yard

One can make the case that McCormick had the best rushing performance of any Raiders running back this season. In two weeks, he's recorded 17 rush attempts for 97 yards.

If running backs Alexander Mattison and Zamir White continue to miss time because of injuries, McCormick could have a strong finish to the season as the Raiders' lead tailback.

All five remaining opponents on Las Vegas' schedule ranked 15th or worse against the run going into Week 13.

Kevin Austin Jr., WR, New Orleans Saints

Week 13: 3 catches, 31 yards; 1 catch, 9 yards

2024 Season: 6 catches, 85 yards; 1 catch, 9 yards

If you missed out on wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, pick up and hold on to Austin. The Saints have a depleted pass-catching group. Last week, they lost Taysom Hill, who took on more of a receiving role over the past few weeks.

In the absence of wideouts Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed and Hill, Austin may see an uptick in targets. He had an impressive showing at training camp this past offseason, according to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football.

Over the Saints' last three games, the 24-year-old hauled in six out of seven targets for 85 yards. He's someone to watch for the remaining weeks of the campaign.
