With Survivor Series done, the return of Saturday Night's Main Event on the horizon and the company's debut on Netflix coming January 6, WWE has a busy stretch ahead.
It is also looking forward to February 1 and the Royal Rumble in Indianapolis. The unofficial start of the Road to WrestleMania typically features the culmination of long-running rivalries, the introduction of new ones and two same-titled matches in which anything can happen.
What should fans expect from the card at the Lucas Oil Stadium amid the chaos that is about to engulf the company?
Find out with these way-too-early predictions for the Royal Rumble 2025.
Women's World Championship: Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan
The rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan dates back more than a year. Each has cost the other valuable time in their careers by injuring them, while Morgan's revenge tour has including stealing away Mami's boy toy, Dominik Mysterio.
The personal feud wrote its latest chapter Saturday night when Ripley drove Morgan through a table with an avalanche Riptide to secure victory for her team in the women's WarGames match.
The win puts the Australian in position for a shot at Morgan's title, though Iyo Sky is up next thanks to her victory in a recent Battle Royal.
Assuming the champion sees off The Genius of the Sky, Ripley vs. Morgan is the sort of high-profile championship match that will enhance the Royal Rumble card.
It also ends a program that has gone on seemingly forever and does not have the juice to last all the way to WrestleMania 41 on April 19-20.
Damian Priest vs. Finn Bálor
Speaking of feuds that don't have the juice to run to WrestleMania...
For the second time, Finn Bálor cost Damian Priest the World Heavyweight Championship in a match against Gunther, emerging from out of nowhere Saturday to deliver a Coup de Grace that set up the world champ's devastating powerbomb and referee stoppage via submission.
The Archer of Infamy caught up with Bálor later, attacking him backstage and ensuring the acrimony with his former tag team partner and friend is far from over.
However, there just isn't enough left in the rivalry at this point to justify holding it off to WrestleMania.
Barring repetitive television, Priest and his former Judgment Day teammate need to settle their differences, and the undercard of the Royal Rumble seems the most appropriate place to do it unless WWE opts to blow it off at Saturday Night's Main Event before then.
WWE Tag Team Championship: Motor City Machine Guns vs. The Street Profits
The Motor City Machine Guns have yet to appear on a PLE despite winning the WWE Tag Team Championship from The Bloodline on Oct. 25.
That should change at the Royal Rumble, with Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin defending against a team that has grown increasingly tired of their perceived lack of respect: The Street Profits.
That match gets both teams on the card without them being lazily thrown into the men's Rumble match to inflate the numbers to 30. More importantly, it gives the show some support underneath in the form of a contest that could easily be one of the best on the card.
We have seen the teams do battle before and know what they are capable of. We also know Tommaso Ciampa is fed up with losing and is also seeking a championship, meaning DIY could be thrown into the fray to enhance the matchup, making it a Triple Threat.
Regardless of what form it takes, the SmackDown tag team titles should be defended in Indianapolis.
Women's Royal Rumble Match
This year's women's Royal Rumble match has the opportunity to be the least predictable in recent memory.
Does Bianca Belair become the first woman in WWE history to win two? Could a return from Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch set up the WrestleMania 41 matchups, with The Queen or The Man jumping The EST of WWE and winning the match for the second time?
Might it be a fresh face, perhaps a returning and vengeful Jade Cargill?
There are so many different options available to Triple H and his creative team that it's almost an unenviable task to be in because the WWE chief content officer then has to come up with other plans for the women who don't secure the victory in Indy.
Men's Royal Rumble Match
The men's Royal Rumble match should be one of the most star-studded in recent memory, with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and CM Punk all vying for the opportunity to challenge for the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship.
Any of those three competitors is a legitimate option to win. With Priest, Bálor, Sheamus, Bron Breakker, LA Knight and others also likely to appear in the annual Battle Royal, there is plenty of star power to make even the early moments of the match a potential banger.
How stories are intertwined and presented throughout the hour-long contest will ultimately determine the overall success of the 2025 match, as has often been the case with the best Rumble showdowns.
