Rhea Ripley and Winners and Losers of WWE Survivor Series: Wargames 2024 Match Card

Survivor Series once more went to war as ten men and women entered WarGames to settle long-running feuds.

These matches were the showcases everyone came to see, but the show also featured three great title matches that delivered surprise results.

The OG Bloodline and the women's team led by Rhea Ripley walked out of WarGames successfully overcoming their rivals.

Shinsuke Nakamura captured the United States Championship from LA Knight while Gunther and Bron Breakker retained against dangerous challengers.

The following are the real winners and losers across the match card from Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.

Winner: Rhea Ripley/Losers: Everyone Else

Rhea Ripley was the most popular woman walking into this match and the most important woman walking out.

She was the central figure of this ten-woman battle including all of SmackDown's top women.

In the women's division, it was much the same story as the past year. Mami remains on top, with or without the gold, and is the main character of the division at all times.

Ripley and Iyo Sky were the best performers in the match and massively improved a contest that had nearly lost the crowd due to the messy opening and weak strikes from everyone.

Ripley remains undoubtedly one of WWE's best wrestlers, but a division can never be built around just one woman.

This would have been a perfect chance for Bianca Belair or Naomi to win and set themselves up for a future title shot at Nia Jax.

Sky could have won to sell why she should be the one to dethrone Liv Morgan when she finally challenged the champion.

Morgan or Jax picking up the win could have legitimized their title reigns when both champions have struggled to look like the top women in their own division.

Instead, WWE sets right back up for Ripley vs. Morgan and may be quickly pushing past Sky as the current No. 1 contender.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura returned on November 15, just two weeks ago, to lay out LA Knight and set a clear challenge for the United States Championship.

His mind games were successful. He overwhelmed The Million Dollar Megastar and utilized the unique double-ring set-up to his advantage to win.

When The Artist went after Seth "Freakin" Rollins last year, he did everything in his power to sell himself as a dangerous threat to The Visionary, but he always lost.

Nakamura could not repeat that rivalry with Knight. Even if The Million Dollar Megastar is one of WWE's most popular stars, he must face adversity to remain a top fan favorite.

The story was that Nakamura had studied Knight and figured out all his weaknesses. He proved that by beating him in their first match.

This forces Knight to respond. Can he learn from this and rally to regain the United States Championship? Will someone else have to step up that Nakamura cannot figure out?

This is a far more interesting US title scene than it was a few weeks ago.

Loser: Sheamus

Sheamus has made it his final career mission to capture the Intercontinental Championship, but he has failed repeatedly.

This was about as close as he had ever gotten to the gold, yet Ludwig Kaiser was there every time to get in the way of The Celtic Warrior.

Ultimately, Kaiser cost Sheamus the match and ensured he took the pinfall.

This will likely put Sheamus in the back of the line for a championship opportunity, even if he gets his revenge against Kaiser.

Bron Breakker will not lose the gold any time soon, but Sheamus is the only one who could have dethroned him in the short term.

It is now possible The Celtic Warrior will never achieve his final goal of capturing the IC title and becoming a Grand Slam champion.

Loser: Damian Priest

Damian Priest entered his match with Gunther, hoping to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

He walked out back where he was when he first lost his world title, caught in the crosshairs of The Judgment Day without gold.

It seems Priest vs. Finn Bálor is still a WWE plan, possibly all the way to WrestleMania 41, and that is the worst possible news for The Punishment.

The King General will move on with Priest's gold and likely never look back at him again.

Priest will continue to tie his legacy to The Judgment Day, a stable that has defined him for over two years.

Winner: Roman Reigns

WarGames has always been best when focused on faction warfare. It should be about two teams aligned in combat, ready to sacrifice everything to win.

Bloodline vs. OG Bloodline was the absolute best set-up WWE has ever had for WarGames, and it delivered a match worthy of the name.

The stakes were clear, especially for Roman Reigns. No one knew what Solo Sikoa would do if he won, but The OTC would not get a shot to regain his ula fala again if they failed.

Luckily, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn rallied around Reigns, gladly helping him. CM Punk was less willing, but even he stepped up to help The OTC when it mattered most.

At the end of the night, Reigns prevailed thanks to the men around him, and he was acknowledged by the men he fought with.
