Projecting Most Likely Heel and Face Turns at WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2024

WWE Survivor Series again will feature the return of WarGames, with two memorable cage battles highlighting the show.

This night also includes multiple major championship matches with the world heavyweight, intercontinental and United States titles on the line.

It will be one of the most dramatic shows WWE has delivered all year and could well begin the road to WrestleMania unofficially.

Which Bloodline will prevail? Can CM Punk and Roman Reigns stay on the same page in their first match together in over a decade?

Which team of women will emerge victorious? Will Bianca Belair be able to stay focused with tag team partner Jade Cargill out of action indefinitely?

Will Gunther, Bron Breakker and LA Knight successfully defend their championships against dangerous competition?

These questions are not the only ones lingering, with the real possibility of multiple heel and face turns in the air on such a volatile night.

Heel: CM Punk

CM Punk's role in WWE is completely undefined following his rivalry with Drew McIntyre. He returned as a favor to Paul Heyman, but what does that mean beyond the men's WarGames match on Saturday?

As long as The Wise Man is working with The OTC, he cannot work with The Best in the World unless Punk were to fight Reigns for the right to his managerial services.

Could Punk vs. Roman Reigns be in the cards? It would certainly add some fresh drama to the story of The OTC beyond feuding with his family.

The Best in the World is technically a member of the Raw roster, but the brand divide is hardly defined these days.

This could also open the door for Seth Rollins to step up to Punk again, setting the stage for the WrestleMania match fans missed last year.

However, it is not the only turn that could come out of the men's WarGames battle and perhaps not even the most dramatic.

Heel: Roman Reigns

No one but Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso trust Roman Reigns, but Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and CM Punk have agreed to work with The OTC because of friends and family.

Everyone has a justifiable reason to distrust Reigns, who has never truly apologized for his actions. That may be because he does not regret anything.

This battle is led by Reigns and Solo Sikoa, who both seek the ula fala.

Everyone who has worn it has turned villain, so a win for The OG Bloodline could be bad for everyone involved.

Reigns capturing the ula fala could push him right back into his worst behavior. He might just choose to align himself with the new Bloodline if they fall in line once he wears the ula fala.

The ultimate goal should be for The OTC to stand atop WWE as the clear top babyface, but the time may still not be quite right.

At this time, Cody Rhodes is the clear top man. Jey Uso is, arguably, also more popular than The OTC, which is something Reigns has struggled to accept.

The Bloodline story remains a long game with plenty more twists and turns to come. Whatever happens at Survivor Series will have far-reaching consequences.

Face: Ludwig Kaiser

The future of Ludwig Kaiser is pointing up, but he may never be able to reach his potential behind Gunther.

Recently, The Ring General has clearly established he does not need his Imperium teammate. In fact, he seems to be actively pushing him away.

With both men in matches at Survivor Series, their paths may continue to diverge, which would set the stage for a big rivalry to occupy Gunther on the road to WrestleMania.

Is Kaiser ready to turn face? That is still unclear, but he would be the one to turn good between himself and Gunther.

The Austrian needs to remain the top heel on Raw while Kaiser could quickly get over his energetic style on the microphone.

Heel: Bianca Belair or Naomi

Someone attacked Jade Cargill, and the easy answers are hardly interesting.

If it was Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, it would simply set up a feud for the Women's Tag Team Championships upon her return.

If it was Nia Jax, Cargill might be able to elevate herself to a worthy challenger for the WWE Women's Championship, but it's more likely she will already have lost the gold by the time The Storm returns.

However, there is a more intriguing option. Instead of an enemy, a friend taking out Cargill could set up a new top heel in WWE.

The most obvious answer would be Bianca Belair. She has not played the bad guy on the main roster, and a turn could revitalize her as a main event act.

An eventual feud between The EST of WWE and The Storm needs to happen, and this could be the setup.

If WWE wants to wait for that feud, though, another option would be for Naomi to take out Cargill. The Glow has been in need of a big break since her return at the beginning of the year.

She has seemingly allied with Belair and Cargill in the past, but she has less ties to the latter than the former, who is a tag team champion without a partner.

If WWE does not vacate the tag titles, Belair and Naomi could begin teaming together until The Storm returns to reveal one of her former friends attacked her.

This could all begin to play out at Survivor Series based on the behavior of both in the women's WarGames match. Whoever shows more arrogance and attitude is likely a future top heel.

Face: Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton will turn face eventually when she goes against Nia Jax. It's just a matter of when the time is right.

If The Center of the Universe sees an opportunity to cash in on Jax after WarGames, it would instantly turn her into one of SmackDown's top babyfaces.

While there have been opportunities, this is one of the best spots for a Stratton turn yet. WarGames is a brutal match that will leave Jax vulnerable.

More importantly for WWE, the result at Survivor Series may not hold enough significance on its own.

If it led to Stratton winning the WWE Women's Championship, though, the women's WarGames match would go down in history regardless of its actual quality.
