Rivalry Week 2024 is sure to produce fireworks in the SEC later this month, and the conference unveiled its updated schedule for the end of the regular season.
Matchups on Nov. 30 featuring Oklahoma vs. LSU on ESPN and Texas vs. Texas A&M on ABC headline the upcoming slate for Week 14:
The SEC had five teams within the top 12 of the second edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings led by Texas at No. 3 and followed by No. 7 Tennessee, No. 10 Alabama, No. 11 Ole Miss and No. 12 Georgia.
This has been the most competitive season in the SEC in quite some time following years of dominance by Alabama and Georgia, both of which posted respective undefeated conference records in the last few years. Every team in the conference has at least one loss entering Week 13.
The Longhorns, who are in their first year in the SEC after realigning from the Big 12, bounced back from their first loss of the year against the Bulldogs last month with three straight wins. Texas earned a 20-10 win over Arkansas this past Saturday in a defensive battle to improve to 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the SEC.
Texas A&M (8-2) is tied with Texas at the top of the SEC with a 5-1 conference record. After cruising to a 38-3 win over New Mexico State in a non-conference matchup this past weekend, the Aggies will return to SEC action on Saturday against Auburn before they meet the Longhorns next week. The game will likely determine which team will have the chance to play for the SEC championship on Dec. 7.
