Five-star quarterback recruit Julian Lewis is expected to visit Georgia this Saturday as the No. 11 Bulldogs take on No. 6 Tennessee, according to On3's Jake Reuse.
Lewis reportedly committed to USC in August 2023 but has continued to visit other programs including Georgia and Colorado.
Lewis has also been tied to Alabama and Auburn. He was previously linked to Indiana, but reportedly recently canceled visits to the program.
Currently playing for Carrollton High School in Georgia, Lewis is ranked as the No. 5 quarterback and No. 31 national recruit by 247Sports composite rankings.
Georgia will also host two other quarterback prospects this weekend with Cal commit Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele and Georgia commit Ryan Montgomery expected to join Lewis in Athens, per ESPN's Eli Lederman.
Listed at 6-foot-0.5 and 185 pounds, Lewis has recorded 2,549 yards for 36 touchdowns and four interceptions while leading his team to a 10-0 record. He has been described by 247Sports scout Andrew Ivins as "one of the top passers in the 2025 cycle."
USC could meanwhile be turning recruiting focus toward Texas A&M commit Husan Longstreet rather than keeping Lewis in the fold. On3's Scott Schrader recently reported that "it appears USC decided someone like Longstreet would be a better option."
Schrader also added that "Colorado appears to be the school to beat for Lewis," a sentiment echoed by the prediction by 247Sports' Tom Loy that Lewis would flip for the Buffaloes.
Georgia could be upping its recruiting efforts to crowd out Colorado as the Bulldogs prepare to lose starting quarterback Carson Beck to the 2025 NFL draft. Lewis could still face a challenging road to a starting role with Montgomery already committed and Gunner Stockton, Ryan Puglisi and Jaden Rashada behind Beck on the current depth chart.
Georgia's incoming 2025 class is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation by 247Sports thanks to the additions of Montgomery alongside five-star prospects defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, edge Isaiah Gibson and linebacker Zayden Walker. Adding Lewis to the group could allow the Bulldogs to challenge Alabama and Ohio State for one of the top two spots on the list.
