Photo: Jayden Daniels Trolled by Commanders Teammate with Alabama Gear After LSU Loss

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels learned the hard way that he who laughs last, laughs best.

Leading up to LSU's game against Alabama, Daniels placed a Tigers sweatshirt on the locker of teammate Daron Payne, a former Crimson Tide star.

Somebody, perhaps Payne, returned the favor after the Tide rolled over the Tigers 42-13. It could also be the work of Phidarian Mathis, who's another Alabama grad and shared a photo of Daniels' locker on Instagram.

Daniels was probably wishing he could've thrown his No. 5 LSU jersey on again while he watched his old school suffer its third loss of the season. The Tigers allowed 421 yards to Alabama and turned the ball over three times.

It was a comprehensive defeat and one that almost assuredly knocked Brian Kelly's squad out of the College Football Playoff race.

Friendly wagers or trash talk over college rivalries are a staple of any pro locker room. Earlier this year, San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle had to wear an Iowa State helmet after Iowa came up short in the battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy.

Alabama hosts LSU in Tuscaloosa in 2025. While that's a long time to wait, Daniels might already be plotting his revenge.
