2025 NFL Draft: Updated Scouting Notes and Pro Player Comparisons After CFB Week 11

Ryan Fowler

As the 2024 college football season progresses, the 2025 NFL draft is becoming increasingly intriguing. Week 11 featured a few standout performances, offering NFL organizations insight into how top prospects are developing in real time.

Many players who entered the season with hype have begun to confirm preseason evaluations, while under-the-radar names are rapidly climbing draft boards.

It's the time of the year when breakout stars emerge, and Week 11 gave us no shortage of talking points.

Here, we'll dive into updated scouting notes on several key prospects. We'll also offer pro player comparisons beyond simplistic height/weight/length similarities to give you an idea of how each prospect's tools and traits could translate to the NFL. We'll also name a few other standouts from around the country.

Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Reminds Me Of: Jalen Hurts with a higher level of explosiveness in the ground game

Week 11 Stats: 12-of-18, 109 passing yards, 13 carries, 184 yards, 4 rushing TDs vs. LSU

It wasn't Milroe's arm that stole the show in Week 11.

Rather, it was his lower half and explosiveness as a runner that led Alabama to a dominant win over LSU. The premier dual-threat talent in the upcoming class, Milroe's burst and creativity in the open field were on full display all evening long.

Similar to Hurts out of Alabama, Milroe touts a developing skill set as a passer with a dynamic ability to threaten defenses with his legs. Milroe, at 6'2", 225 pounds, possesses an intriguing floor as a prospect, as the run game would remain a heavy focal point for whatever NFL offense he joins.

Expected to run the 40-yard dash in around 4.3 seconds at the NFL combine, Milroe's blend of explosiveness on the ground and through the air (see Georgia tape), has placed an awfully bright spotlight on his game as the regular season winds down.

Potential NFL Fits: New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saints

Derrick Harmon, DL, Oregon

Reminds Me Of: Bryan Bresee with 10 more pounds of body mass

Week 11 Stats: 4 tackles, 3 pressures, 2 QB hits, 1 hurry vs. Maryland

While the numbers and underlying analytics won't jump off the page like some of his other outings (watch his Ohio State and Boise State tape), Derrick Harmon enjoyed another productive week up front for the top-ranked Ducks.

Similar to Bresee, he touts an excellent blend of size and twitch at 6'5", 310 pounds, and his ability to clog gaps on early downs, as well as rush the passer, will hold weight for prospective NFL clubs.

Potential NFL Fits: Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers

Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

Reminds Me Of: Jamin Davis' size and athletic profile mixed with Leighton Vander Esch's 1-on-1 tackling ability at a similar height/weight/length

Week 11 Stats: 12 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 PBU, 1 hurry vs. LSU

What an evening it was for Jihaad Campbell, who continues to showcase well when the lights are at their brightest.

A menacing defender with the size and speed to overwhelm opposing blockers, even LSU's elite tackle tandem of Will Campbell and Emery Jones Jr. had no answer for Campbell. He plays with his hair on fire on every snap, tackles as well as any 'backer in the country, and plays with the pop behind his pads that coordinators love from the position.

He's got the closing burst and trigger of Davis out of Kentucky (2021). He also has the ability to bring varying body types to the ground in isolated opportunities like Vander Esch (2018). Put those two traits together, and Campbell boasts a skill set that is expected to make him a highly sought-after prospect come next April.

Potential NFL Fits: Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, Washington Commanders, Houston Texans

Ricky White III, WR, UNLV

Reminds Me Of: Ja'Lynn Polk

Week 11 Stats: 7 receptions (11 targets), 128 yards, 1 TD vs. Hawai'i

White remains one of the more underrated pass-catchers in the country.

A third-team All-American last fall and a former standout during his days at Michigan State, White's blend of route-running and creativity after the catch have painted the picture of a highly intriguing perimeter weapon.

Against Hawai'i, while White often faced man coverage with a safety over the top (bracket coverage), his ability to attack leverage vertically and haul in passes with defenders draped over his back (similar to Polk) showcased exactly why he's a must-watch player during college football's late Saturday window of games.

In nine starts this fall, White has amassed 790 receiving yards (10 TDs) with five 100-plus yard outings.

Potential NFL Fits: Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Washington Commanders, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

LaJohntay Wester, WR, Colorado

Dustin Bradford/Getty Images

Reminds Me Of: Calvin Austin III

Week 11 Stats: 6 receptions (6 targets), 82 yards, 1 TD vs. Texas Tech

Don't blink when LaJohntay Wester gets the ball.

While many other prospects earn the spotlight on the Colorado roster, Wester will remain a key cog in the machine that is the Buffaloes' offensive attack.

A transfer to Boulder after four years at Florida Atlantic, Wester's explosiveness and electric playmaking ability were on full display against Texas Tech.

Whether it was a designated touch on the outside, a timing throw over the middle of the field on a high-leverage down, or working up to fifth gear in a snap, Wester's game deserves heavier attention.

Similar to Austin out of Memphis just a few years ago, Wester's fast-twitch muscles at his height and weight, along with his nuance and experience at the position, paint the picture of a versatile offensive chess piece that can take it the distance from any spot on the turf.

Potential NFL Fits: Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers

Other Notable Standouts

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State: 34 carries, 208 yards, 3 TDs vs. Nevada

Oronde Gadsden II, TE/WR, Syracuse: 8 catches (11 targets), 102 yards, 1 TD vs. Boston College

CJ West, IDL, Indiana: 9 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 PBU vs. Michigan

Oluwafemi Oladejo, LB, UCLA: 6 tackles, 4 TFLs, 2 sacks, 2 QB hits vs. Iowa

Keyshawn James-Newby, EDGE, Idaho (FCS): 10 pressures, 8 hurries, 2 sacks vs. Portland
