Welcome to Bleacher Report's top 25 college football quarterback rankings after Week 11.
These rankings are published every Tuesday morning throughout the 2024 season, with the goal of identifying the 25 best QBs in the country each week as the season unfolds.
The only thing that matters here is on-field production in 2024. That means past performance, future expectations, physical tools and NFL upside have all been removed from the equation.
Every quarterback's individual production and quality of opponent will be considered each week. Players will rise and fall based on where they ranked the previous week, so it will be a fluid process.
If your favorite team's quarterback is not currently on the list, fear not. If a guy is putting up numbers, he will find his way onto the list. On the flip side, a strong season thus far does not protect a player from potentially sliding down the rankings with a poor Week 12 performance.
Let the debate begin!

Nos. 25-21
25. LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina (Previous Rank: HM)
Stats: 115-of-187, 1,450 yards, 9 TD, 4 INT; 391 rush yards, 4 TD
Sellers' overall numbers don't jump off the screen, but he has led South Carolina to three straight wins over Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. The redshirt freshman has thrown for 657 yards with five touchdowns and zero interceptions during that span, and he added 172 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
24. Kyle McCord, Syracuse (Previous Rank: HM)
Stats: 275-of-429, 3,153 yards, 23 TD, 12 INT; -61 rush yards, 2 TD
Since his ugly five-interception game against Pitt in Week 9, McCord has bounced back to throw for 672 yards with four touchdowns and one interception against Virginia Tech and Boston College the last two weeks. He leads the nation with 429 pass attempts, and he's fourth with 3,153 passing yards.
23. Behren Morton, Texas Tech (Previous Rank: 22)
Stats: 230-of-372, 2,575 yards, 21 TD, 6 INT; -21 rush yards, 1 TD
After throwing for 1,757 yards and 15 touchdowns in 10 games last season, Morton has significantly improved in his second year as the Red Raiders' starter. He completed 24-of-40 pass attempts for 275 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's loss to Colorado.
22. Jordan McCloud, Texas State (Previous Rank: 18)
Stats: 175-of-255, 2,035 yards, 21 TD, 7 INT; 228 rush yards, 6 TD
Coming off an ankle injury, McCloud helped Texas State build a 21-0 lead against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday before heading to the bench on a rainy day. He completed 4-of-5 passes for 56 yards and a touchdown and added his sixth rushing score of the season while helping the Bobcats improve to 5-4 on the year.
21. Caden Veltkamp, Western Kentucky (Previous Rank: 23)
Stats: 149-of-213, 1,950 yards, 19 TD, 7 INT; 149 rush yards, 7 TD
Veltkamp is the best quarterback whom no one is talking about this season. He's completing 70.0 percent of his passes while leading Conference USA in touchdown passes (19) and yards per attempt (9.2). During the Hilltoppers' current four-game winning streak, he has racked up 1,067 passing yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also found the end zone four times on the ground during that span.
Nos. 20-16
20. Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt (Previous Rank: 13)
Stats: 143-of-236, 1,843 yards, 15 TD, 3 INT; 628 rush yards, 5 TD
Pavia has put together multiple clutch performances this season, but he had a quiet game in Saturday's 28-7 loss to South Carolina. He finished 16-of-31 for 166 yards with zero touchdowns or interceptions, although he did contribute 65 rushing yards and score the Commodores' lone touchdown with his legs.
19. Drew Allar, Penn State (Previous Rank: 21)
Stats: 149-of-212, 2,006 yards, 13 TD, 5 INT; 172 rush yards, 3 TD
Allar was extremely efficient in Saturday's lopsided 35-6 victory over Washington, completing 20-of-28 pass attempts for 220 yards and a touchdown as the Nittany Lions rebounded nicely from their Week 10 loss to Ohio State. Allar has raised his completion percentage from 59.9 percent last season to 70.3 percent this year, which ranks ninth among qualified quarterbacks.
18. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU (Previous Rank: 11)
Stats: 235-of-375, 2,866 yards, 21 TD, 11 INT; 21 rush yards, 3 TD
The Tigers have asked a lot of Nussmeier in his first season in the starting role. His 375 pass attempts lead the SEC, but his production has steadily dipped as the season as unfolded:
- First four games: 70.4 Cmp%, 1,243 yards, 13 TD, 2 INT
- Last five games: 56.9 Cmp%, 1,623 yards, 8 TD, 9 INT
LSU closes out the regular season against Florida, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma as he looks to finish on a high note.
17. Blake Horvath, Navy (Previous Rank: 16)
Stats: 69-of-117, 1,154 yards, 11 TD, 4 INT; 870 rush yards, 13 TD
Horvath put up lackluster numbers in losses to Notre Dame and Rice, but he moved the Midshipmen back into the win column on Saturday on the road against South Florida. He tallied 56 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground and completed 6-of-11 pass attempts for 58 yards and his first touchdown through the air in three weeks.
16. Alonza Barnett III, James Madison (Previous Rank: 20)
Stats: 159-of-273, 2,034 yards, 21 TD, 2 INT; 325 rush yards, 5 TD
Barnett had 241 passing yards and three touchdowns on Saturday against Georgia State, which marked his fourth game this season with at least three passing scores. After spending two years on the bench behind Todd Centeio in 2022 and Jordan McCloud in 2023, he has done a terrific job stepping into the starting job.
Nos. 15-11
15. Josh Hoover, TCU (Previous Rank: 19)
Stats: 256-of-378, 3,233 yards, 22 TD, 8 INT; -6 rush yards, 4 TD
Hoover connected on 26-of-35 pass attempts for 286 yards and a touchdown in a Week 11 victory over Oklahoma State. He now ranks third in the nation in passing yards, trailing only Miami's Cam Ward (3,494) and Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart (3,409). He is averaging 323.3 passing yards per game, up from 220.6 yards per game last season.
14. Riley Leonard, Notre Dame (Previous Rank: 15)
Stats: 145-of-225, 1,575 yards, 9 TD, 3 INT; 609 rush yards, 13 TD
Leonard now has eight straight games with a rushing touchdown after logging 11 carries for 70 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's blowout win over Florida State. He also threw for 215 yards and a score in the 52-3 victory. He has nine passing touchdowns and only one interception over his last six games.
13. Chandler Morris, North Texas (Previous Rank: 7)
Stats: 248-of-388, 3,087 yards, 26 TD, 10 INT; 157 rush yards, 4 TD
Morris had been putting up gaudy passing numbers all season, including back-to-back 400-yard games against Memphis and Tulane heading into Week 11. However, he was silenced by the Army defense, finishing with only 214 passing yards while failing to throw a touchdown for the first time this year and getting picked off twice.
12. Tyler Shough, Louisville (Previous Rank: 12)
Stats: 192-of-304, 2,504 yards, 20 TD, 5 INT; 14 rush yards, 1 TD
Shough has found a great fit at Louisville after three-year stints at Oregon and Texas Tech. The Cardinals' victory over Clemson in Week 10 was enough to vault them back into the AP poll. After a Week 11 bye, he will be back in action on Saturday against a Stanford defense that ranks 127th in the nation with 268.1 passing yards allowed per game.
11. Bryson Daily, Army (Previous Rank: INJ)
Stats: 29-of-51, 644 yards, 7 TD, 1 INT; 1,062 rush yards, 21 TD
After missing Week 10 against Air Force with an undisclosed injury, Daily returned with a season-high 36 carries and 153 rushing yards in Saturday's win over North Texas. He also added two more rushing scores to his gaudy season total. His 21 rushing touchdowns now trail only Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty (23 TD) for the FBS lead.
Nos. 10-6
10. Quinn Ewers, Texas (Previous Rank: 17)
Stats: 149-of-215, 1,722 yards, 19 TD, 6 INT; -50 rush yards, 1 TD
Ewers threw for a season-high 333 yards and a career-high five touchdowns on Saturday against Florida, leading the Longhorns to a 49-17 victory. He faces Arkansas and Kentucky the next two weeks before a huge road game against Texas A&M on Nov. 30 to close out the regular-season slate.
9. Cade Klubnik, Clemson (Previous Rank: 9)
Stats: 195-of-309, 2,275 yards, 24 TD, 4 INT; 300 rush yards, 4 TD
Klubnik did not have his most efficient game of the season on Saturday against Virginia Tech, completing just 16-of-34 pass attempts for 211 yards, but he still finished with three passing touchdowns while leading the Tigers to a 24-14 victory. Tough games against Pitt and South Carolina remain this season, with a cupcake game against Citadel sandwiched in between.
8. John Mateer, Washington State (Previous Rank: 10)
Stats: 166-of-266, 2,332 yards, 22 TD, 6 INT; 630 rush yards, 11 TD
After logging only 19 pass attempts and 25 carries during his first two collegiate seasons, Mateer has been one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation this season while leading the Cougars to an 8-1 record. He had 179 passing yards, 55 rushing yards and five total touchdowns on Saturday night in a 49-28 blowout win over Utah State.
7. Jalen Milroe, Alabama (Previous Rank: 8)
Stats: 149-of-221, 2,046 yards, 13 TD, 6 INT; 565 rush yards, 16 TD
Milroe came to play in a must-win game against LSU on Saturday, finishing with 185 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a 42-13 victory. He now has more rushing touchdowns than passing touchdowns, as he has made full use of his dual-threat abilities. His 29 total touchdowns trail only Cam Ward (36), John Mateer (33) and Chandler Morris (30).
6. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado (Previous Rank: 6)
Stats: 250-of-343, 2,882 yards, 24 TD, 6 INT; -2 rush yards, 4 TD
Sanders connected on 30-of-43 pass attempts for 291 yards and three touchdowns in a lopsided road win over Texas Tech. He also added his fourth rushing score of the season in the 41-27 victory. The Buffaloes now sit alone in second place in the Big 12 standings. Winning out against Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State would punch their ticket to the conference championship game.
5. Kurtis Rourke, Indiana
Previous Rank: 4
Stats: 171-of-238, 2,410 yards, 21 TD, 4 INT; 17 rush yards, 2 TD
Undefeated Indiana faced its toughest test of the season on Saturday against Michigan and came away with a 20-15 victory, giving the Hoosiers their first 10-win season in school history and the No. 5 spot in the latest AP poll.
The schedule has been favorable, but the play of Kurtis Rourke has been a big reason for the unexpected success from a team that finished 3-9 last year and has not been to a bowl game since 2020.
The Ohio transfer threw for 206 yards with two touchdowns and one interception against Michigan. Both of those scores came in the first half as the Hoosiers built a 17-3 lead by halftime and held on for the win.
4. Will Howard, Ohio State
Previous Rank: 5
Stats: 171-of-231, 2,237 yards, 22 TD, 5 INT; 122 rush yards, 6 TD
For the fifth time this season, Will Howard completed at least 80 percent of his pass attempts and threw for multiple touchdowns in Saturday's victory over Purdue.
The Kansas State transfer completed 21-of-26 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns. He also found the end zone on the ground for his sixth rushing score of the year in a 45-0 shutout.
The strides he has made this year with his completion percentage (61.3 to 74.0 percent) and yards per attempt (7.4 to 9.7) give him a strong case for the title of most improved quarterback in the country.
3. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
Previous Rank: 3
Stats: 211-of-298, 3,409 yards, 22 TD, 4 INT; 304 rush yards, 3 TD
Jaxson Dart put up one of the gaudiest stat lines of the season in Week 10 when he threw for 515 yards and six touchdowns against Arkansas. That performance vaulted him back into the top five of these rankings.
Dart didn't match those numbers on Saturday, but he helped lead Ole Miss to a huge win over Georgia. He threw for 199 yards and a touchdown while also adding 50 rushing yards on eight carries.
The Rebels are now very much alive in the College Football Playoff picture, and Dart has re-entered the Heisman Trophy conversation. However, he is still a dark horse to actually take home the hardware.
2. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
Previous Rank: 2
Stats: 237-of-320, 2,848 yards, 22 TD, 5 INT; 148 rush yards, 6 TD
With three passing touchdowns in Saturday's win over Maryland, Dillon Gabriel became the NCAA's all-time leader with 180 total touchdowns in his career. He surpassed former Houston quarterback Case Keenum (178) on that list.
The Oklahoma transfer is now in his sixth collegiate season, and he has been extremely efficient replacing Bo Nix as the Ducks' signal-caller. He currently leads the nation with his 74.1 percent completion rate.
A road game against Wisconsin, a bye week and a home game against Washington is all that stands between Oregon and an undefeated regular season, which would almost certainly guarantee its spot in the playoff field.
1. Cam Ward, Miami
Previous Rank: 1
Stats: 241-of-361, 3,494 yards, 32 TD, 6 INT; 182 rush yards, 3 TD
The Miami Hurricanes suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday and tumbled down to No. 12 in the AP poll. Their spot in the ACC championship game is no longer guaranteed, as they sit behind SMU in the conference standings and are tied with one-loss Clemson.
Despite the disappointing result on Saturday against Georgia Tech, quarterback Cam Ward had another strong individual performance to add to his Heisman Trophy candidacy. He completed 25-of-39 pass attempts for 348 yards and three touchdowns.
The entire quarterback class might be looking up at Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter in the Heisman race at this point. But if a quarterback is going to take home the hardware, Ward is still the leading candidate.
