As the NFL gets deeper into its regular season, more data becomes available for fantasy football. Through nine weeks, it's become increasingly clear which trends have developed and which matchups managers should try best to exploit.
There are several games on Sunday that are prime targets for daily fantasy consideration. Perhaps none more so than the early-afternoon matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Minnesota Vikings, who will aim to continue a strong start vs. a favorable opponent.
Let's look at some players who should be included in DFS lineups for DraftKings on Sunday, beginning with a Vikings stack that has the potential for a huge performance.
Pay Up for Jefferson, Stack Darnold
Justin Jefferson is always a strong DFS play, even though he typically comes at a high cost ($8,800 this week). However, the 25-year-old delivers in a big way more often than not. He has recorded more than 80 receiving yards in each of his past seven games and is coming off back-to-back 100-yard performances.
On Sunday, Jefferson and quarterback Sam Darnold ($6,200) should combine for plenty of big plays. The Vikings are going up against the Jaguars, who are allowing 264.3 passing yards per game (second most in the league).
According to NFL.com, Jacksonville is giving up the most fantasy points to QBs this season and the fourth most to wide receivers.
There's a bit of concern that this matchup will become lopsided and Minnesota will be able to cruise for most of the way. But Darnold and Jefferson should rack up a good number of fantasy points before that happens, as the Vikings' passing attack will expose the Jags' weak secondary in this matchup.
Allgeier Should Continue to Provide Value
Although Tyler Allgeier is the No. 2 running back in the Atlanta Falcons' offense, he's been fantasy relevant for much of the season thus far. The team has found a way to get the 24-year-old involved despite being behind Bijan Robinson on the depth chart.
Allgeier ($5,200) continues to provide strong DFS value for that reason. He scored his second touchdown of the season last week vs. the Dallas Cowboys, and he has recorded double-digit carries in two of his past four games.
The Falcons have a favorable Week 10 matchup vs. the struggling New Orleans Saints, who are allowing 136.6 rushing yards per game. Atlanta should be in control most of the way, giving both Robinson and Allgeier opportunities for strong showings.
So feel confident including Allgeier in DraftKings lineup, as his performance should come as a steal at the price point.
Kincaid Poised for a Big Showing
For much of the season, Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid hasn't performed quite as well as many fantasy prognosticators expected him to heading into the year. But the 25-year-old has still frequently gotten involved in the offense.
Kincaid ($4,900) has received six or more targets in six consecutive games, and he had a season-high 10 last week in the Bills' win over the Miami Dolphins. He has scored a pair of touchdowns, but he hasn't finished with more than 52 receiving yards in a game this year.
That could change in Week 10, when Buffalo faces the Indianapolis Colts in a road matchup. It's a great opportunity for Kincaid to break out, considering the Colts give up the third most fantasy points to tight ends (per NFL.com).
The Bills will be without Keon Coleman (wrist injury), while Amari Cooper (wrist) is listed as questionable. So their receiving corps is a bit banged up, meaning Kincaid could get an opportunity to capitalize with a big showing.
