The Las Vegas Raiders have fired offensive coordinator Luke Getsy following a disappointing 2-7 start that includes a five-game losing streak, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Getsy had been the offensive coordinator for the Raiders since the beginning of the season after spending two years in Chicago with the Bears.
The Raiders rank 25th in the league in total points with 168, and 28th in yards per play. They lead the league in turnovers with 17.
Pelissero reported that head coach Antonio Pierce felt a change was necessary, with the offensive coordinator being the first to go and more expected to follow.
Scott Turner, the former Washington offensive coordinator, has been named as a potential candidate to fill the empty role, per Pelissero.
The firing of Getsy comes on the heels of star defensive end Maxx Crosby publicly expressing his frustrations with the Raiders' five-game losing streak.
"It f--king sucks to lose five in a row," Crosby said, according to The Athletic's Tashan Reed.
Las Vegas heads into a bye week following Sunday's 41-24 blowout loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
