ESPN NFL draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. revealed his quarterback rankings from his latest 2025 big board on Thursday.
Colorado signal-caller Shedeur Sanders held the top spot, while Texas passer Quinn Ewers sat at No. 5.
Here is Kiper's full top 10:
- Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
- Cam Ward, Miami (Fla.)
- Jalen Milroe, Alabama
- Carson Beck, Georgia
- Quinn Ewers, Texas
- Drew Allar, Penn State
- Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
- Kurtis Rourke, Indiana
- Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss
- Will Howard, Ohio State
After an impressive inaugural year with the Buffaloes in 2023, Sanders has continued to look comfortable in the pocket in 2024. He's averaging 323.9 passing yards per game and 8.6 yards per attempt, helping Colorado surpass its win total from last season with a 6-2 record.
Sanders' 21 touchdown passes and 73.3 completion percentage both represent the highest marks in the Big 12. He's only been picked off six times.
The 22-year-old was ranked as the No. 2 overall quarterback in the latest big board from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. B/R NFL Scout Dame Parson also highlighted Sanders' accuracy and quick throwing motion.
"Overall, Sanders' natural and pure passing abilities are the strength of his game," Parson wrote in his scouting report. "He is capable of winning from clean pockets and out of structure. Sanders will pick defenses apart with his quick release and accuracy, especially if he's kept clean."
As for Ewers, his 2024 campaign was off to a strong start before it was derailed by an oblique strain that caused him to miss two games. In three appearances prior to the injury, he completed 73.4 percent of his passes for 691 yards and recorded eight touchdowns compared to just two interceptions.
In three starts since returning, Ewers has a 66.1 completion percentage to go along with six touchdowns and four interceptions.
If he's able to close out the season strong and lead the Longhorns to College Football Playoff success, he could rise up Kiper's big board as the draft draws closer.
