Most up-and-coming basketball players would love to be compared to Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant, but class of 2025 5-star prospect AJ Dybantsa doesn't believe it's accurate to put the two of them in the same conversation.

During an appearance on Podcast P with Paul George Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment, the artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT named Durant as Dybantsa's pro comparison, and the youngster disagreed.

"You know what? I don't see it. I don't see it," Dybantsa said around the 1:22:30 mark. When asked if he's gotten that comparison before, he added, "Yeah, I've gotten that comparison before. I think it's just because I'm taller than everybody and can shoot over people, but I don't see it."

A 6'9" small forward out of Utah Prep, Dybantsa is the No. 1 overall player in the nation in 247Sports' composite. He hasn't yet made his college commitment, but he already made himself a star by helping lead Team USA to a gold medal at the FIBA U17 World Cup in Turkey this past summer. He was named to the all-tournament team.

Dybantsa was later told that the A.I. tool added other options for his pro comparisons with Jayson Tatum, Paul George and Brandon Ingram, and Dybantsa believes his skills are more comparable to those players than to Durant.

Despite his objections, it's clear that Dybantsa has a bright future in basketball if he's already drawing comparisons to some of the best forwards in the NBA.
