Camdin, the son of former Miami Hurricanes and NFL star Clinton Portis, committed to Miami on Sunday evening, according to ESPN's Eli Lederman

The 4-star cornerback belongs to the 2026 class and is the third player from that class to commit to Mario Cristobal's team.

The junior from Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, received several other offers before joining Cristobal's team, including those from Colorado, Florida, Tennessee, and Ohio State, among others.

Camdin, a 6-foot, 165-pound cornerback, recorded 18 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and two interceptions during his sophomore season, according to Lederman.

His father, Clinton, a former running back, played at Miami for three years from 1999 to 2001, winning the 2001 National Championship with the Hurricanes. He then transitioned to the NFL, where he spent nine years—seven with Washington and two with the Denver Broncos. He earned two Pro Bowl nods during his NFL career.
