4-Star PF Nikolas Khamenia Commits to Duke Over Gonzaga, UCLA

Duke basketball fans have plenty to be excited for this year with top prospect Cooper Flagg and a handful of other talented players joining the team, but the Blue Devils now have more to look forward to next season.

Nikolas Khamenia, a 4-star prospect out of the Class of 2025, committed to head coach Jon Scheyer and Duke on Tuesday.

Khamenia, a California native, picked the Blue Devils over UCLA, Gonzaga and others.

Khamenia is considered to be the No. 27 player nationally, the No. 8 power forward nationally and the No. 5 player in the state of California by 247Sports Composite.

He joins a Class of 2025 that's already shaping up to be an exciting one for the Blue Devils. Earlier this month, Cameron and Cayden Boozer, the twin sons of former NBA veteran Carlos Boozer, became the first two commits for Duke for 2025.

Cameron Boozer is a 5-star prospect and the No. 2 player in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite. Cayden Boozer is considered to be a 5-star prospect and the No. 21 player in the country by 247Sports Composite.

With the three recruits it has now, Duke has the No. 10 recruiting class in the nation for 2025, per 247Sports Composite, though the blue blood program will likely see more recruits flock in as the season continues.

After reaching the Elite Eight a season ago, the 2024-25 campaign is shaping up to be a big season for the Blue Devils. The roster is highlighted by Flagg, the consensus No. 1 player in the Class of 2024 who is already making a case to be a lottery pick in the 2025 NBA draft.

Flagg is joined by three other 5-star freshmen looking to lead Duke to glory this year, starting with a season-opener against Maine on Nov. 4.
