Video: 49ers' Trent Williams Punches Chiefs' Bryan Cook, Ejected After Altercation

Trent Williams saw his day end early in the San Francisco 49ers Week 7 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The left tackle was ejected late in the fourth quarter after a spat with Chiefs safety Bryan Cook. Williams threw a direct punch at Cook, catching the eye of the referees.

Cook appeared to deliver a quick punch at Williams before the 36-year-old responded with a booming punch. The Chiefs were winning 28-12 when Williams' night came to an end.

Cook was not penalized for his role in the incident.

As he was exiting the stadium, the left tackle stopped to sign an autograph for a young fan.

Williams is a key piece for a 49ers offense that already saw wide receiver's Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel exit the game. He missed a 49ers touchdown drive but ultimately San Francisco would fall 28-18 and move to 3-4 on the season.

Williams is an 11-time Pro Bowler and just restructured his contract with San Francisco in the offseason. He has started every game for the 49ers in 2024.
