Drafting the Teams for WWE Survivor Series 2024 WarGames Match

Erik Beaston

The WWE Survivor Series premium live event on November 30 from Vancouver brings a return for WarGames, the historic battleground for professional wrestling's most intense rivalries.

From the popular gimmick match's origins in the historic Jim Crockett Promotions to its high-profile spot on WCW Fall Brawl in the 1990s, its return as part of NXT and its introduction at Survivor Series, the event has been home to some of the most physically demanding, mentally grueling and violent feud-enders ever.

In 2024, there is little doubt that the two men's sides involved will come from the most epic storylines in modern WWE history, as Roman Reigns continues his battle with the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline.

With that in mind, these are the teams who should compete in WarGames.

The Bloodline: Solo Sikoa, Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu

The Bloodline squad has been determined for months now.

From the moment Jacob Fatu joined Tanga Loa, Tama Tonga and Sikoa to complete the revamped Bloodline, it was clear that any eventual war with Reigns would include them.

To heat them, the group scored wins over Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in high-profile matches while securing the tag team titles and successfully retaining them against DIY and The Street Profits.

They have gotten the best of Reigns on more than one occasion now and at least have a unified team ahead of Survivor Series.

They are cohesive, dominant when on the same page and not taken by surprise, and should the superior team on paper.

The OG Bloodline: Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn

The return of Jimmy Uso provided Reigns with some much-needed backup in his war with Sikoa and Co. but not nearly enough.

The babyfaces are still outnumbered four to two and, despite his brother's attempt to bring him back into the fold, intercontinental champion Jey Uso wants nothing to do with it.

The story will take that direction in the coming weeks, with his own family members having to convince the popular singles star to reunite with them to defend the family honor.

From there, it will shift its focus to convincing one last former member of the original Bloodline to come on board and battle for all that is good, with Reigns likely having to prove he is a changed man with the best intentions in mind.

Zayn was the Honorary Uce, an outsider welcomed into the family but ultimately manipulated by The Tribal Chief in an attempt to keep enemies closer.

His betrayal of Reigns was the first major departure from the group and indirectly set the stage for Jey to go his own way.

Maybe Reigns and Jimmy will reach out to Zayn in an attempt to get Jey back on board, but either way, he is the one Superstar for whom it makes total sense to be the final addition to the team.

If those two teams are the ones who set foot inside WarGames, expect a story-driven classic that features some incredible physicality, as well as twists, turns and the potential return of Paul Heyman.

It is a story befitting of the WarGames gimmick and the biggest main event WWE will produce since WrestleMania 40.
