Video: Stefon Diggs, Keisean Nixon Scuffle, Separated Before Texans vs. Packers

The showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans is one of the most high-profile games on the NFL's Week 7 slate, and the drama didn't wait for the opening kickoff.

Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs and Packers defensive back Keisean Nixon had to be separated ahead of the contest after the former was also engaging with cornerback Jaire Alexander.

A number of Green Bay players backed Nixon up and were talking trash to Diggs as well:

Nobody can accuse Diggs of being afraid of the challenge, as he was on his own and not backing down against the Packers.

The incident will serve as a backdrop as the four-time Pro Bowler attempts to find space against Nixon and the Green Bay secondary. And he will be even more important because Nico Collins is sidelined with a hamstring injury.

That means quarterback C.J. Stroud will be all the more reliant on Diggs and Tank Dell in the battle between two potential playoff teams.

Houston didn't have Collins in its last win over the New England Patriots, and Diggs (six catches for 77 yards and one touchdown) and Dell (seven catches for 57 yards and one touchdown) each played well in the 41-21 victory.

The Texans are 5-1 on the season and in full control of the AFC South in the early going, but going on the road to face the 4-2 Packers will be a different test. While Houston is the only team with a winning record in its division, Green Bay is part of a division with all four teams at 4-2 or better.

Whichever team wins Sunday's matchup will have plenty of momentum heading into the middle portion of the season.

And the victor will likely let the other team hear about it if the pregame interaction was any indication.
