Netflix Drops Hype Trailer for Chiefs-Steelers, Ravens-Texans NFL Christmas Day Games

Two months away from the first NFL games on Netflix, the streaming giant has dropped a trailer for its Christmas Day doubleheader featuring the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans.

The trailer is set to José Feliciano's "Feliz Navidad" with clips featuring star players from all four teams that will be in action.

This will mark just the fourth time since 1948 that NFL games will be played on a Wednesday. It most recently happened in December 2020 when a Steelers-Ravens game had to be rescheduled for the middle of the week due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Netflix increases its presence in live sports, it made a big investment in the NFL. The Christmas Day doubleheader is part of a three-year deal between the two parties that guarantees Netflix at least one holiday game through the 2026 season.

The NFL rewarded the streamer with two marquee games featuring four strong AFC playoff contenders.

The Chiefs are one of only two remaining undefeated teams going into Week 7 with a 5-0 record. Even though they aren't getting a lot of style points in their victories, the two-time defending Super Bowl champs are still an unstoppable machine with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback.

Pittsburgh is in the midst of a quarterback battle despite a 4-2 record with Justin Fields as the starter, but head coach Mike Tomlin's team has a dominant defense that currently ranks second in points allowed per game.

The Ravens and Texans are arguably the primary challengers to the Chiefs in the AFC to reach the Super Bowl this season. Baltimore has won four straight games following an 0-2 start, with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry combining for 1,107 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 183 rushing attempts.

Houston is 5-1 with C.J. Stroud now clearly established as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in just his second season. The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year ranks in the top 10 in passing yards (1,577), passing touchdowns (10) and QBR (66.2).

The Chiefs-Steelers game will kickoff the doubleheader at 1 p.m. ET from Acrisure Stadium. That will be followed by the Ravens-Texans matchup at 4:30 p.m. ET from NRG Stadium.
