Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors: Raiders Wouldn't Consider Deal for Multiple 1st-Round Picks

Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby is the face of the franchise, so it's no surprise that the team would have a hefty asking price if it were to trade him.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed that the Raiders wouldn't even consider a deal that included multiple first-round picks to trade Crosby.

"I believe earlier in the year there might've been a team that asked the team about Maxx Crosby and might've floated a one," Schefter said. "I think they said, 'Yeah, you start with multiple ones on that guy and even then we wouldn't even entertain it.'"

The Raiders fell to 2-4 this season with Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and appear to be in the midst of a rebuilding year, so there has been speculation that they would be willing to ship away some of their veterans to start preparing for the future. Star receiver Davante Adams has been the subject of trade rumors over the last few weeks and is widely expected to be moved before the Nov. 5 deadline.

However, Crosby has maintained his loyalty to the team that selected him with a fourth-round pick in the 2019 draft. He's blossomed into one of the best pass rushers in the NFL during his time in Las Vegas, earning a selection to the Pro Bowl in each of the last three years.

"You know where I want to be," Crosby said of the trade rumors earlier this month, per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. "You think I want to be anywhere else? No. I got this s--t tatted on my body. I don't want to go anywhere... it's just funny. You've got a lot of people that have a lot to say when they really don't know what's going on."

It sounds like Crosby is prepared for the grind of a team rebuild, so it would be shocking if the Raiders find an offer that convinces them to trade him away this year.
