Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is not not working WrestleMania 41, at least for now.

Earlier this week, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer (via Sean Reuter of Cageside Seats) reported The Rock is "not going to be able to do Mania" and "already gave word" he couldn't work a Triple Threat match featuring he, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

On Saturday, a fan asked the man directly about the rumor in an Instagram comment, to which the former world champion responded, "don't believe any of that bulls--t."

The night after Rhodes became the undisputed champion at WrestleMania 40, WWE teed up a future encounter with The Rock at a later date. "The Final Boss" said he and Rhodes' story "has just begun" before eventually handing the new champ something and telling him, "Don't you ever break my heart again."

The Rock remained off WWE programming until he made a surprise appearance at Bad Blood on Oct. 5. Rhodes and Reigns were celebrating their victory over The Bloodline along with Jimmy Uso when The Rock walked through the curtain and stared them down from the entrance ramp.

It feels safe to assume the 52-year-old will be returning to the ring in some capacity; otherwise, WWE wouldn't have him tease as much. And failing to utilize The Rock at WrestleMania would be a clear missed opportunity unless his schedule precludes him from making the trip to Las Vegas next April.

Storyline plans are always changing within WWE, but it would be a bigger shock at this point if The Rock wasn't on the WrestleMania 41 card in some form.
