Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and CM Punk are three of the biggest stars in professional wrestling, and all three were triumphant at Bad Blood on Saturday night.
The conclusion of the most heated rivalry in WWE, the return of The Rock, unsettled business and a long road to WrestleMania 41 all have fans wondering what is next for the trio.
The answers to those questions lie in what occurred during and after the most recent WWE premium live event.
Roman Reigns: A Family Affair
There was a moment of tension in the closing minutes of Saturday's event when Reigns lifted the undisputed WWE title off the mat and stared at it before handing it to Rhodes.
While there is already unfinished business between them over the top prize in the industry, The American Nightmare is not in The Head of the Table's immediate future.
Instead, Reigns will focus on a Bloodline civil war that will write its next chapter at Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30.
The OTC has amends to make with several members of his family, but Jimmy Uso has remained loyal to him and proved as much Saturday with his interference in the tag team match, which saw Reigns team with Rhodes to defeat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
Even with his cousin back, The OTC faces a severe numbers deficit that will see him and Jimmy face a 4-on-2 beatdown that necessitates backup.
Enter intercontinental champion Jey Uso, who has proved himself as his own man since splitting from The Bloodline. He no longer needs Reigns, but The Head of the Table needs him and reforming that bond will result in some truly captivating television.
As will the search for a third partner. Former "Honorary Uce" Sami Zayn, anyone?
Reigns needs reinforcements to combat and defeat the new Bloodline and the next month will be dedicated to assembling them, all under the watchful eye of The Rock, whose return in the closing moments of Bad Blood put an exclamation point on the show and gave fans a taste of what the upcoming road to WrestleMania 41 will look like.
Speaing of The Great One...
Cody Rhodes: The Prizefighter and The Final Boss
Rhodes emerged from Bad Blood fending off challengers and attacks from all sides, including two he did not see coming.
First, The Rock stepped through the curtain at the end of the event, raised his eyebrow and made threatening gestures in the direction of the undisputed WWE champ.
From there, fans outside the State Farm Arena in Atlanta captured a shocking betrayal and assault by Kevin Owens on Rhodes in a culmination of mounting frustration between them after The American Nightmare agreed to team with Reigns.
Rhodes now finds himself facing a battle with a friend who had stood by his side through every confrontation; a friend who knows him as well as anyone else. As if that wasn't enough, there is the looming threat of The Rock returning and targeting the title too.
For all of the criticisms surrounding his reign and the perceived lack of stakes, Rhodes' run with the gold is about to face its toughest test in the form of a vengeful Owens, the most powerful man in the industry in The Rock, and a Reigns driven to regain the title he lost at WrestleMania 40.
Oh, and there's also Randy Orton, who has been oddly quiet throughout it all.
CM Punk: World Champion or Bust
Just after defeating Drew McIntyre in the Strap match at Bash in Berlin, CM Punk took to the squared circle to announce his intention to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Of course, The Scottish Warrior had other plans, but after settling that rivalry inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood, Punk is free to refocus his attention on The Ring General.
And that should be the only direction The Best in the World heads in at this point.
Punk is driven by his quest for gold, and with Gunther ready to wrap up his feud with Sami Zayn on Raw, setting up The Best in the World as his next challenger in time for Survivor Series makes sense.
Whether Punk wins the title from Gunther is another question.
