Dak Prescott, Cowboys vs. Justin Fields, Steelers in NFL Week 5 Delayed Due to Storms

Fans who were anxiously waiting to see Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys take on Justin Fields and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football this week will have to wait a bit longer.

Acrisure Stadium announced that there is a weather delay due to storms in the Pittsburgh area:

It was reported on the NBC broadcast that carts with food like sandwiches and salads were brought into both locker rooms for players and coaches while they waited out the delay.

The Cowboys got some extra rest entering Sunday's game, as they are coming off a 20-15 win over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football in Week 4. However, the team's second straight prime-time game will be played without star edge rusher Micah Parsons, who was ruled out after suffering a high ankle sprain against the Giants.

The Steelers are looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season, a 27-24 nail-biter against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. However, the team has been riding high behind the play of Fields, who has continued to impress during his time as the starting quarterback during Russell Wilson's absence while recovering from a calf injury.

Fields enters Week 5 with 830 passing yards, three touchdowns and an interception while completing 70.6 percent of his passes. He's also Pittsburgh's second-leading rusher with 145 yards and a team-high three rushing scores.

Weather permitting, Sunday's matchup between the Cowboys and Steelers should be an exciting clash of two talented teams that have their eyes set on competing for a playoff spot this year.
