The Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky's Angel Reese headlined the WNBA's All-Rookie team for the 2024 season.
Sky center Kamilla Cardoso also joined her teammate among those honored. Los Angeles Sparks forward Rickea Jackson and New York Liberty forward Leonie Fiebich filled out the five-player group:
Clark, who claimed Rookie of the Year, averaged 19.2 points, a WNBA-high 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds. She also hit a number of impressive benchmarks including dishing out the most assists in a single game (19) and across a season (337).
Reese was the league leader in rebounds with 13.1 per game and would've held onto the single-season record if her wrist injury hadn't cost her the final six games. Her relentless effort on the boards helped her reel off a record streak of 15 straight double-doubles.
Between having Reese and Cardoso inside, it's no surprise the Sky finished with the most rebounds in the WNBA. The former South Carolina star averaged 7.9 boards while swatting away 1.4 shots and scoring 9.8 points per contest.
Thanks to all of the attention Clark and Reese garnered, Jackson's strong season flew under the radar a bit. She averaged 13.4 points and 3.9 assists in 28.8 minutes per game. Her shooting efficiency (45.6 percent overall and 34.7 percent from the perimeter) were an encouraging sign after she was inconsistent on long-range jumpers in college.
Fiebich, a second-round pick of the Sparks in 2020, was a pleasant surprise for New York after finally arriving in the WNBA. She was a valuable supporting piece for the star-studded Liberty, averaging 6.7 points and hitting 43.3 percent of her three-pointers.
