Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is a six-time Super Bowl champion, but he hasn't gotten over his three Super Bowl losses.
During his weekly on the ManningCast for this week's Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, Belichick joked that he has three dartboards in his house, two of former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning and one of former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles:
Manning and the Giants defeated Belichick and the Patriots in the Super Bowl in the 2008 and 2012 seasons, while Foles and the Eagles topped them in 2017.
In all three instances, the Patriots entered the Big Game as the favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, which probably makes those losses sting a bit more for Belichick.
Despite conjuring up bad memories, Belichick took the moment in stride and even uttered, "Fly Eagles fly," in support of Philadelphia.
