Cowboys Trolled by NFL Fans as Alvin Kamara Scores 4 TDs, Saints Dominate in Win

Scott Polacek

The Dallas Cowboys defense set the tone and overwhelmed the Cleveland Browns in a 33-17 victory in Week 1.

So much for a repeat performance.

Dallas' defense was nowhere to be found during Sunday's 44-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints at AT&T Stadium. Alvin Kamara was unstoppable with 115 rushing yards, 65 receiving yards and four total touchdowns.

New Orleans put up five touchdowns in the first half alone, three of which came from Kamara. One of those scores came on a 57-yard screen pass.

As if that wasn't enough, Rashid Shaheed hauled in a 70-yard touchdown and Chris Olave found some space in the secondary.

NFL fans were quick to react to the Cowboys' struggles:

CeeDee Lamb's 65-yard touchdown was the only bright spot for the home team, as the offense stalled for multiple field goals before Dak Prescott threw an interception to Paulson Adebo. Adebo's long return set up the Saints' fifth touchdown of the game, which came on a Derek Carr quarterback sneak.

The second half was largely a formality, although the Cowboys defense can at least take solace knowing it allowed nine points in the second half after its terrible performance in the first half.

Dallas has Super Bowl aspirations and looked the part in the first game of the season.

It looked like anything but against the Saints, and things might not get any better in the immediate future when the NFC East team faces reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3.
